I recently visited Golden Punjab for their lunch buffet in Fresno, priced at 17.99 per person, and I was thoroughly impressed. The buffet runs from 11 AM to 3 PM, offering a wide range of appetizers and entrées. As someone from the Bay Area, I was pleasantly surprised to find such an authentic and satisfying Indian dining experience in Fresno.
The standout dishes for me—especially as they’re my favorites—were the butter chicken, samosas, and yogurt. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced, while the samosas had that crispy, golden exterior with a flavorful filling that made them irresistible. The yogurt was a refreshing, cooling contrast to the bold flavors of the other dishes, and I particularly enjoyed the goat curry, which had tender meat with a nice mix of rib meat.
A delightful touch was the chai tea, which was made to order and had that comforting yes, homemade feel—like being at your mom and dad's house for a family meal. You could tell the spices were freshly ground, and it paired beautifully with the rich flavors of the buffet.
For dessert, the option of vanilla or rainbow ice cream was a sweet ending to the meal, and while it was a simple touch, it added to the overall enjoyable experience.
All in all, the Golden Per Job buffet was a great treat, with a warm atmosphere, delicious food, and a touch of nostalgia. If you’re in Fresno and craving authentic Indian flavors, this place is definitely...
Read moreSo it really feels like you're part of the family here. Extremely welcoming staff, the most polite you'll probably get in Fresno. The food? Amazing! Delectable! I could add a dozen more adjectives and I'd still be underselling it. I'd recommend this to anyone and everyone. If you're especially sensitive to spice like my wife or have a distinctive lack of melatonin (like both me and my wife) they definitely adjust the spice to whatever level you need. Might I add without lowering any of the amazing flavor I like my a little hotter at medium and my wife's was as low as mild can go and both were delicious. I had a chicken curry that melts in your mouth, my wife the chicken vindaloo both were phenomenal. It was my wife's first experience with Indian food after years of refusal and I only managed to steal a spoonful of her food before being chased off. We shared a garlic naan and the chicken biryani both were fantastic sides that brought their own flavors to the meal. Now after all of that long rambling I'd just like to say Thanks for having us and we will be back. Tldr would recommend 10/10...
