I ordered the white Alfredo linguine dish, with one homemade meatball. I also ordered a Philly cheese steak and an order of fries. This order was made through Uber eats and cost a lot of extra money above and beyond what mamma Mia's would charge. However being a truck driver in my truck at a remote location I am willing to pay these prices.
Mama Mia's has some of the best Alfredo I've ever tasted in my life! Now, speaking relative to (in particular the delivery area that I'm actually in.......) Fresno California, you have a few choices, it's either Mama Mia's, Dicicco's, or Red lobster, or one of the big box delivery pizza chains. I think there's one other one more expensive Italian restaurant but I haven't tried their Alfredo either.
All that said, Mama Mia's alfredo sauce alone is probably number one in Fresno in my opinion, maybe number two, I'd have to really really do the research to figure it out! 🤣
Collectively considering other ingredients and other items I've ordered from mamma Mia's, I definitely give them a solid four stars out of five, and I only say that because I'd have to have some serious reasons to give a fifth star to any restaurant!
anyways the bottom line is Mama Mia's rocks and I'll definitely be ordering a lot more...
Read moreWe usually go to the Bullard location, but decided to order from the Tower District. Worst experience with food....ever!!! Got home and immediately dove into the Garlic Cheese bread and there is no garlic on it at all; didnt even have a slight garlic flavor. Boo!! We split a chili cheese steak sandwich and I found literally 3 pieces of meat; not 3 bread sized pieces of meat, the meat didnt even cover the bread. My son decides he is going to go back and show them both items. First thing the gal behind the counter told him was that you have to "special order" the bread with actual garlic because normally they only put garlic salt. We've been getting the same exact order from the Bullard location for 4 years and have never heard of such a thing. When she was shown the half of a sandwich that was mine, instead of apologizing, she began to quibble about whether it was actually truly half of a sandwich. She was rude and actually had my son pay for another sandwich and he had to ask for double meat. She looked at him and told him "if you tell me one more time that you've been ordering from us for 4-5 years, this is going to get difficult. Even though we live about a 10 minute drive from the Tower locale, we will NOT be ordering...
Read moreOK, fine, I give up on finding good pizza in Fresno. It's not that this pizza was bad, it was spectacularly unremarkable in fact, which makes it better than the several other places in town I tried, but still far short of what I'd ever think of longingly. Maybe like New York, there's something in the water, only reversed. It's adjacent to a bar, so it's more fair to judge them by bar-food standards than a standalone restaurant, so fair: The mozzarella sticks were also unremarkable, pretty standard medium-grade restaurant-supply product fried competently. The bruschetta was actually pretty bad. Served in some sort of soggy bread cup thing and I think microwaved before being drenched in balsamic vinegar. The overall effect was pretty offputting. The salad was the thing that got the most care and was made fresh to order and so far as a side salad can be really good, it shined bright in comparison to the table of disappointments it shared. If it matters, the pizza slice was large and cheap, which might...
