We picked up to go orders two times, while selling fireworks nearby. Shrimp Burritos and Asada Tacos were all good. While there we witnessed people eating some very nice looking dishes. Whole fried fish and a Mocojete with Nopales and variety seafood looked so great. I plan to return to sit down and enjoy one of these dishes soon.
Uodate: I have been back many times. The grilled fish and grilled shrimp tacos are large and come with homemade corn tortillas, a bed of cabbage and Pico de Gallo. I really haven't been disappointed here. Breakfasts are delicious as well.
Their seafood dishes are very good and plenty. The Mojarra Frita is prepared well. Served with Beans and Rice with a choice of tortillas. I always select Corn because they are made fresh. Their Mocajete dishes are filled with a variety of foods. Quite large and filling.
Warning: The seafood tacos are large. However, the meat tacos are served Rico (small).
My only complaint is that they close early (8 pm). We live further north, and by the time we get home from work and decide to go out, it leaves us with little...
Read moreI had the absolute misfortune of dining at Mariscos del Rey and let me tell you, it was an absolute nightmare. Not only was the food subpar and overpriced, but the service was atrocious.
To make matters worse, I decided to splurge and pay $20 to play "Believe" by Cher on the TouchTunes Jukebox. I was looking forward to listening to my favorite song on repeat for a total of 24 times in a row, but to my utter dismay, the staff had the audacity to turn off the jukebox after I had only listened to it 4 times.
I couldn't believe the sheer level of disrespect and disregard for customer satisfaction. It's not like I was playing some obnoxious music that was disturbing other customers - I simply wanted to enjoy my favorite song. But apparently, the staff at Mariscos del Rey don't care about their patrons and their enjoyment.
Save yourself the trouble and avoid this establishment at all costs. The food is terrible, the service is abysmal, and they don't even let you enjoy the music you paid for. One star is too generous for Mariscos del Rey - they deserve negative stars for their terrible attitude...
Read moreThis place is in a random location so you may easily miss how quality it is, but it's fantastic! First and foremost I have to say that our server was so gracious and helpful. She suggested the Pollo jalapeño for lunch and it was honestly one of the best things I've had at a Mexican restaurant! Large portion of juicy chicken breast smothers in a creamy jalapeño sauce with mushrooms and cheese - so savory and perfectly seasoned but not spicy at all (in fact I think my kids could handle it just fine). It came with homemade corn tortillas which were fabulous! The rest of the table ordered enchiladas Rojas and shrimp agauchile. But dishes were fresh and fabulous! The horchata was great as well. Would definitely come back just for the Pollo jalapeño though -...
