Holy Smokes!

Where to start... On a relatively non busy weekday afternoon, we were greeted pretty quickly and friendly enough.

Then it took a looong time for the food to come out. At least a half hour, pushing 45 minutes.

When it did? No silverware! Had to "ask" for it, and then it was several minutes for that to come.

Onto the food itself, the wrap was tasty but small for $16 (not the menu price of $14, more on that later....) but the plate as others have mentioned felt like the meat was overcooked, and a little "charred". Hummus tastes like mouthwash, not sure what kinda mint they used? But grocery store hummus is better than this that's for sure! Salad had no dressing and rice was OK...

Then onto the bill, had to go up to counter and yell to the back kitchen just to get someone to come up and get our "bill". Other customers were looking at me shaking their head and remarking at how poor the service was, totally unprompted by me.

They add a 4% surcharge for credit cards which is UNDISCLOSED! And over the max 3% even allowed by law & visa. Then, compound the tax to THAT additional amount, so you're paying easily 13% more than the menu prices. Didn't feel the least bit bad about not leaving a tip. Gonna look into an attorney general or local authorities complaint on this as well.

To top it all off, to say the background music is questionable is an understatement as well, some lousy "Arabic"ish pop/EDM that's too loud & with bad acoustics to boot. And I listen to plenty of foreign language music and have been to dozens of countries to know better...

Bottom line, plenty of other "Mediterranean" places in the area to not have to put up with this if you're looking for a kebab or hummus...

I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the amazing experience I had at your restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious—especially the shawarma, which was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The salad, along with its special sauce, was incredibly flavorful and fresh. Beyond the fantastic food, the hospitality was exceptional. I would like to specifically mention Sultan, who was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my visit enjoyable. His outstanding service truly enhanced my dining experience.Thank you for maintaining such high-quality food and excellent customer service. Olive Tree Mediterranean is a gem of a local restaurant and one I’m so glad to support. The food was absolutely delicious and clearly prepared with care. The portions were generous, the flavors spot-on, and the staff was so kind and welcoming. The mutabal and hummus were both outstanding, and the seasoning on the chicken — whether in kebabs or shawarma — was excellent. Arabic coffee was supreme. We went to dine in late one evening and the music and staff was so lovely.

You can tell a lot of pride and love goes into the food here, and it really shines through in every bite. If you’re looking for fresh, flavorful Mediterranean food in Fresno, this is definitely the place to go! I know I will be...
