Read moreHonestly this used to be the best pho spot in town but since they've been under new ownership, all aspects of the restaurant other than the scenery have declined. And while I've wanted to chop it up to staff having bad and/or busy days, unfortunately that's just not the case. So for me of course the straw that broke the camels back was myself and my family ( african americans) sitting down in the restaurant with only 2 other tables filled with customers one of which was an African american man and his partner and another family of Hispanic descent. We all had been waiting for 30 mins plus when they brought out the African american gentleman's food and served him. Some sort of dialog was exchanged in regards to the wait time and also in regards to Xtra condiments the customer needed. Well apparently the worker didn't like what was asked of him because as he passed by our table he murmured some very racist words (I prefer to not to repeat) to himself in his native language of Spanish. And I'm sure he wasn't expecting that we would understand his words because he said it in a different language but derogatory words in spanish aren't hard to understand when you have Hispanic people in your circle. and after the other gentleman also confirmed he heard the same thing and validated what I heard we got up and left immediately after speaking with the young girl who was the "manager" on duty Who also by the way tried to defend the disrespectful workers behavior. At that point I decided this is NO LONGER the establishment for our family or anyone of our culture for that matter!! The disrespect and unprofessionalism at this place is beyond horrible. And while some of the workers may live in a space where they think their disfunction and rude behavior is non existence, please read all the reviews from other customers and be a judge for yourself. The common denominator is usually...
Read moreI have been going to this restaurant for the past 6 or 7 years and have always been delighted. I am more of an introvert so I cant eat in as much since I have no friends, but I do take out. But lately for these past couple of months it feels like the quality in their service and food have both declined. I dont know if it could be because of covid or not, but I just know the food and service isn't what it used to be. Spring rolls were always amazing there. Had plenty of pork and lean pork. Last time I went it was pretty much all pork fat, no meat. Also they used to be generous with lean pork meat in the pho soup itself too. The last couple of times I have been there they cut down on that or something. The beef as well. The quality of the meat feels off. They used to have a lot of lean meat, but it feels like they scrape the bottom of the barrel for any leftover "meat" to cook with. Also I remember one time this this year I ordered egg rolls to go, which usually come in 5 pieces, and they actually only have me 4.. haven't been there since their decline. Also I dont see the lady who used to work at front register anymore. Now it's a Hispanic man. It's not a problem, but I suspect covid might have made her quit along with other employees or some people were laid off and this could probably have affected management too..I really do hope they get back to how it had been for the past 6 years. This year seems rough to be honest.
3 stat because of how long I have been to their place and happy/satisfied. 3 star because this year has been pretty bad.. and this is coming from a loving place. Not one to hate. I just want...
