As an avid seafood lover in a family who doesn't love or even like seafood this resturant is kind of a mecca for someone like me. The bad part is the wait, the absolute worst part period. First of all what is the point of doing offering online reservation when it doesn't even matter? According to the hostess the online reservation notifies them you will be there within the timeframe selected, but does not mean you will have a seat. You still will have the same wait time as everyone else, in our case this was 45 minutes. The sad part is the hostess are not even apologetic about the this wait time what so ever; in fact they are rude and condescending regarding the wait time. An example of this occurred as we were leaving I spoke with a lady who was waiting for her party to be seated. She told me that they had been waiting for 2 hours by that point, and was told it would be at least another 30 minutes. The hostess them advised this pleasant lady that others had been there longer, and those people were happily waiting for their turn. The lady then told me why they were there; it was her son's 20th birthday and this is where he wanted to go. When she told me this I was shocked, who speaks like that to a customer?!? Don't they realize the experience starts the moment they enter the resturant? The worst part is when I got up from our table to wash my hands I counted at least 6 tables that would have seated 4 or more people completely empty. A lesson in tact would benefit the hostess well. The reason for my rating is based solely on our waitress and waiter; we had two as our primary waitress was on lunch. Sadly I wish I remembered their names, cause truly they absolutely saved the evening with their service. The food is always on point, but if the staff is performing poorly then the meal will be effected. These two were incredibly knowledgeable with regards to the lobster lover menu, and helping my husband choose a non seafood option. The young lady who ended up helping us at the end of our meal was not only delightful, but plans to join the Navy shortly. Even though this resturant will be loosing an amazing employee, the Navy will be gaining a fine soldier in the making. These two are the reason why I am rating 4 stars instead of the 2 they should be getting for what occurred prior to us being seated. Read moreOn May 24, 2025, we are a military family with a special needs child's and visited your Red Lobster location on Shaw Ave in Fresno California. We had reservations made online the app for 3:00pm. Earlier today my family and I decided to have an early dinner at Red Lobster in which my son wanted to go there to eat. There was only one server Josh A. at that time servicing the entire floor. The filet mignon and the cheddar biscuits were served cold. I had asked them they do military discounts and they replied yes. However, when I got the final bill only my order was discounted and not my family orders we ordered all together a military family they have military ids and were with me at the same table. Josh A and manager on duty They charged us separately as two guest which we did not know. They was no split bill. We were overcharged and not fully discounted as they initially stated. This is a major issue. This issue never happened to us at any restaurant or at any Red lobster until today. It's only a 10 percent discount. I couldn't believe that Red lobster server Josh A or the manager on duty would treat any customer or their military customers that way. Do better Red lobster management and staff Josh A to your customers. We did not receive a pleasant experience. It is highly likely that we will not be returning to Red Lobster anytime soon due to the lack of customer service we receive earlier today. As a Parent with a special needs child and an elderly parent it is a rare occasion we go outside to have dinner. We appreciate any immediate assistance to resolve the issue. I highly suggest they require training or a secret shopper to actually see how they treat their customer and to correct the current issue from not happening again to any customers. Read moreThis place does not even deserve a one star rating. The absolutely worse expierence of any place I have ever been. Wait time to be seated was less than 10 minutes. Not an issue at all - just stating to tell how busy it was for a Saturday night at 5:30PM. After we were seated it was at least 30 minutes before our order was taken. Appitizer came out good and hot and timing was fine. Salad came out not long after, brown and wilted, HORRIBLE. After that point, it took over 45 minutes before we received our dinners EVERYTHING WAS COLD! The butter was not melting in the baked potatoes or on the lobster tails. Shrimp was undercooked and cold. No one ever came to offer drink refills or see how our food was. We had to call for another waiter to get the manager. That even was a wait. We had to wait another 30 minutes to received fresh hot food. It came out one item at a time and we still did not receive all of our food. Our waiter Juan and manager Kendra could both greatly benefit from a customer service class and how to be a waiter and manager. Even though the manager apologized for the service, she said they were short staffed...... You're not short staffed when half of your staff is to busy texting on their cell phones and standing around instead of attending to your customers.
