Spokeasy Public House — Restaurant in Fresno

I'm giving a 1 star rating to the terrible long haired bartender that works at Spokeasy. He threw me out for no reason over the weekend. He started pushing me and grabbed the unfinished beer out of my hand while I was sitting quietly in the back area and nowhere near the Bar. He has terrible anger issues and is a Bully that should not be a bartender. If he is bartending I would highly suggest choosing a different place to go and don't even deal with him. The other bartenders that work there are good but this long haired bartender ruins it. I've been going to Spokeasy for 10 years and never once had a problem and never once have been treated so poorly by a disgruntled bartender. I hope the management checks the camera's and see's how he came up and attacked me out back for no reason this past...

Location - Van Ness Village. Right up the street from Tower District. Right down the street from Fresno City College (and Fresno High for the teachers).

Bartenders - Probably best described as knowledgable and chill.

Pub Layout - Bar seating along windows near entrance. Bar seating at the bar on the left. Tables on the right wall.

There's a small room (essentially reduced to a hallway with storage on either side) separating the front from the back area. To the left of the room are empty kegs. To the right is a fridge filled with bottles of beer.

The back room has a couple of tables, a handful of arcade games, a collection of beer bottles on the wall, and a restroom near the rear exit.

This is one of my favorite neighborhood spots for hanging and enjoying a local (hyperlocal), properly brewed...

On a short visit to Fresno I went to check out what people told me is one of the best craft beer bars in Fresno. Technically I'm a wine guy but recently developed a huge appreciation for beer after turning my back on the big breweries of the world.

I walked in through an unassuming entrance, thus the speakeasy style name, and was simply blown away. The walls are lined with handles of all the great names and a lot of what you won't know unless you're really into beer.
