Fresno City College — Local services in Fresno

Hey, it got me to the next college and to the point I needed. Parking is short, and yes you have to pay. Don't know many places where parking is free, and in abundance though. A lot of students you'll read are complaining about some issues that I'm sure happened. How many of them actually used the outlets and representatives to help make things better though? If not your just a contributing factor and not helping anything. This isn't high school, and if you expect to show up unprepared for an office visit, or class then it's your fault. If you aren't mature enough at college level to hold your temper when you probably have came unprepared and things didn't go your way, then don't go here. Please go back to high school and try at life again. If you are looking for a place that will get you to that state college or UC with minimal funding and semi-affordable tuition cost, then I'd say go here. These teachers in comparison to Fresno State actually seem more like they care to help you out. So learn the ropes here, and if your transferring get ready for the need of even thicker skin later. This institution is reprehensible; I am in excellent academic standing with the California Community Colleges System and have recently matriculated back into Fresno City College after a three year hiatus. Three days into my Biology course facilitated by Dr. Cynthia Eayre, I was removed under duress by Fresno PD during our lab course for allegedly 'disrupting' class. I was subsequently illegally detained, searched and confronted by officers for fabricated allegations of 'defying authority.' Additionally, they attempted to violate my 4th Amendment rights without reasonable suspicion or probable cause. If being opinionated, proactively contributing to class discussion and being loquacious constitutes physical removal from an institution of academia than our Constitutional rights have been abraded and we are being suppressed as independent thinkers in America. If you value your dignity, your freedom of expression and wanted to be treated with equitability and not like a petulant child don't attend this abhorrent college. Nobody that attends college deserves be to be denigrated by an adjunct college professor with that...

The campus is okay you got a dedicated teaching staff and admin staff to help you in all of your educated needs, a tutorial center and a writing center to help you in your classes that you are stuck on but sadly here are the biggest issues with this campus

Parking-you have to get here early like 5:30 am early or at least 6:00 in order to find that "special parking"

Webadvisor- Sure it's suppose to be your "everything" for college but not in this case most of things on there are confusing or they require you to back track to another section of the site and then re-back track to where you were before...go to a counselor and finanical aid office rather than relying on Webadvisor

ATM machine- it's a stupid issue i know but check this out THIS campus ATM machine over by the cafe only accepts "specific atm cards" only so if you use a Visa but don't have an SCCCD logo or anything related to what you see on the ATM machine guess what YOU CAN'T MAKE A TRANSACTION! so for those that don't have that "specific atm card" go to the nearest ATM machine off campus and make your...
