Short Review: Truly, a hidden gem in Fresno. You can’t go wrong with Tacos Duran-Go!

Long Review: I was introduced to this place via a coworker who brought some Tacos to work & was pleased as can be when I had a taco. It was only one, but by god, that was the best Taco I’ve had since Plaza Ventana. Since then, I’ve made trips back to the location- it’s a bit hidden (in a way) as it’s in a corner, but once you realize where it’s at, you can’t miss it.

The interior is a bit small (which may be an issue for those who are claustrophobic,) however the presentation is good & you’re immediately greeted by the smells of the place as you walk in, all of them very pleasant.

The staff are very friendly & welcoming & aren’t hard to talk to- & yes, they do speak Spanish. They are accurate with your order & inform you of what comes on each menu item & you have the option to add or remove toppings/ingredients/condiments on your menu item. The pricing is not bad at all for what you get- it certainly won’t beat fast food prices, but this food is of higher quality compared to fast food joints.

As for the food itself - I’ve compared it to (a now permanently closed) restaurant, Plaza Ventana, and for a good reason: Minus the lack of colorful tortilla chips that plaza Ventana was known for, Tacos Duran-Go comes pretty darn close (if not beats,) Plaza Ventanas legacy for tasty and quality foods, and this was something hard to admit, because I was such a hardcore fanboy for Plaza Ventana. You can tell that the chefs here really take quality and effort into everything they make because nothing has disappointed me thus far. Like I’ve mentioned before, all of my orders have been 100% accurate and this flavor is something that I would never imagine being able to comprehend ever again. I haven’t had every menu item just yet, but I imagine the same quality and flavor remains the same across-the-board no matter what you order.
