So I'm here to review Toledo's on Northwest first of all I think everybody should speak English and Spanish but if we're in a bar or ordering we should have English spoke first first thing I noticed when I sat at the bar she was young apparently I sat down order a drink and she was talking to the other customers in Spanish I asked for a drink it was all in Spanish I could not communicate with her real quickly after sitting there and watching the game she was attending other people and when people were sitting there she was really quick to attend them to give them chips and salsa acknowledge this place always serves chips and salsa when you sit down when you're spending money for me it was an offered another thing when I went to ask for another waitress to give me chips or a drink she really got hostile and she said that's not allowed she wasn't clearly doing her job and giving me chips are asking me in the beginning so when I asked for a drink from the other waitress she got uptight and Ted this is your last drink wow apparently there's a lot of gambling at this restaurant I'm about to expose this restaurant on a lot of gambling there was a worker that I sat down and were betting he finished his shift and apparently he was with her and I don't know what happened but I was betting him and he finished his shift then the manager came up on the side of us and we started talking when I order another drink and I pursue her in front of the manager and she said that's your limit for some reason these people are not doing their job there's gambling misleading and there's not proper people that speak in English in the bar area so I will be pursuing this in a court of law I will be suing this Toledo of malpractice clearly they're here to gamble to make money off customers and not properly take care of customers with English speaking people at the bar or eating areas I'm so sorry that we allow people not to come in this United States and function...
Read moreI wish, sincerely, that I could give this restaurant five stars. After a long day, where my partner was sick and craving delicious Toledo's fajitas, I decided to take it upon myself to travel across town in anticipation of the fine quality food. My experience could have been perfect, journeying on a mission for delicious nourishment, to hopefully make my girlfriend happy and foster her well-being back to health.
I picked up my to-go order, racing back to the Tower district in Mission Impossible-like fashion, delivering the fresh wholesome delicious Toledo's food as quickly as possible. However, upon arrival, we were devastated to discover that a critical component of the fajitas experience had been forgotten-- the flour tortillas. It was too late to drive all the way back and retrieve what had been carelessly left behind, as the restaurant was soon to close. I rummage through the pantry in despair, googling preparation methods for the stale storebought corn tortillas I was able to dig out from the wreckage of our pantry.
Our love for the Toledo's fajitas experience is exemplified by the true sadness in her eyes at the sight of me desperately trying to compensate for such a mistake, my sad substitute corn tortillas nearly as disappointing as Toledo's failure to include their fresh, hot, delicious flour tortillas (which we indeed had ordered). A crucial element of the fajitas experience had been paid for, yet...
Read moreMy office wanted to go here (Milburn location) for an office lunch. I personally called ahead to reserve a table, but nobody answered until the third time I called. I made a reservation for 12 people for noon with no problem. I arrived early and waited at the front for several minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. When the hostess finally came up I told her that I had called ahead and she informed me that she would get our table ready (what was the point of calling ahead?) So we had to wait for them to put some tables together. We finally got seated but had to wait again for our server to take our drink order...and wait awhile again for them to finally take our food order. The food took awhile to come out. No one in our party that ordered entrees were asked if they wanted soup or salad (which was supposed to come with their meal as stated on the menu). I noticed that a party that had come in after us were served several minutes before our party was served. I ordered the same chicken salad I have had at other Toledo's but at this location it was served on a smaller plate and the chicken was bland. We had to flag someone down to ask for refills on our drinks. I would not recommend this location for a quick lunch, ours took an hour and 45 minutes. My co-worker next to me did say her veggies fajitas were delicious, and she would...
