Zamora's #2 — Restaurant in Fresno

Food was good, but not great. Service was okay but not great either. I’ve been here twice so far and the first experience was inside the restaurant which again the service wasn’t the best because the girl was new. She was nervous and couldn’t hear us the first time, then kept making us repeat our order and to still get it wrong and have someone else come take our order and repeat it again, was horrible. My brother was frustrated with the server because he was hungry and kept having to repeat himself. They didn’t have birria so I had to reorder something else later because she thought they had some. I love the rice and beans though, I like the corn tortillas too, the carnitas were plain, no flavor so I had to add plenty of salt and lemon wedges to give it flavor. I wasn’t given any cilantro or onion the first time I ordered in the restaurant. The second time was a to go order but I was given everything this time. The lady wasn’t giving me the best customer service but I can’t complain because I didn’t have to wait too long for my order. It was worth the $30 I guess for the carnitas meal. So know what you have in the restaurant and know the menu. And if you’re known for your carnitas then add seasoning to it...

Main reason to come was to try out the carnitas. The service was really good, they were very attentive. Atmosphere was really good as well. Went during lunch time so there was a good crowd in there. It didn’t take long to get the food. I ordered a carnitas taco, adobada taco and sope de res. The tacos weren’t bad, wasn’t as much flavor as I thought it would be. The sope barely had beans or meat, which I was dissatisfied with. The taste wasn’t bad I just hoped they would have done a better serving. I’m still fairly new to Mexican food but since my fiancée loved the leftover from this place she now wants to try the Carnitas taco plate that serves 3-4 people. I have to say it was ample food and it made me want to go back and try something else out. The atmosphere is clean and the service was good.
