My standards are pretty low. This was slightly better than I expected, but took a little effort. When I checked in the nice lady at the desk warned that there was a $10 extra charge if I had a "guest" stay over. Price was about $55/night, just over $60 with taxes and fees depending on how you book. Due to Covid there was plenty of availability. The clerk asked if I wanted upstairs or down. I suggested down, but that it really didn't matter. She put me in a room up stairs. ||||The room itself was larger than most I've been in. It had one, clean queen-sized bed, two hard foam pillows, sheets but no blanket, just a comforter-type bed cover which was fine for me. The air conditioner worked well once I figured out how to program the thermostat. Two soaps and one shampoo in the large bath featuring a shower stall. Good water pressure and temperature. No cups. I had to go back down to ask for towels. She gave me several along with more shampoo and soap. Didn't try the small flatscreen tv on the wall. I heard a buzz other than the air conditioner and discovered a fridge and microwave that had been hidden behind the open bathroom door. These worked well.||||When I checked out the next day she had charged the full amount, $70, but handed me $10 cash for not having a "guest." Found out what she meant by guest when I returned from Yosemite the first evening. As I pulled into the driveway, some well-dressed young ladies crossed in front of me. One of them turned back to me and said something as I passed them. I rolled down the window and said, "What?" This cute, young thing just said, "One hundred dollars." She looked about 16. Tempted, but wanted to keep all my parts intact and healthy, I politely declined. I later noticed that many people and cars congregated at the liquor store parking...
Read moreIt's a emergency shelter for the homeless, it's better than being on the streets...(update) it's worse than being on the streets, they are lying, deceptive, crooked and discriminating, half the staff are there to do their job while the other half use what little control they have to manipulate you. I was there 3 1/2 years and they only applied for 1 apartment during my time, lost my 1st voucher because they let it expire, they tried to turn in false documents to housing under my name and kicked me out for arguing with my wife saying I was in her face but since the then the staff has gotten in my face trying to get me to be violent and make me look bad 3 times within 2 weeks time. If you have animals they're in danger here because staff feels they know what best for your animal and you; they'll call spca or wait until you're gone and go in your room and chase them off the property I seen it done a dozen times and I had ESAs Emotional Support Animals and they chased them off instead of letting me get them and I'm missing 3-8 year old cats I had since birth. They are snakes in the grass waiting to strike at you all while pretending to have your best interest in mind, I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time you've heard this and it definitely won't be the last;these shelters are the biggest scam so the bigwigs can embezzle the funding only leaving the unhoused back where...
Read moreWe've stayed at many different hotels and not too fussy but this is definitely one of the worst. As stated by others, there are plenty of hookers hanging around outside of this and other hotels in the area. The bed sheet was dirty and the mattress had red lipstick or nail polish smeared on it. I pulled back the sheets and spotted small brown stains near the seams on the mattress which concerned me (bed bug trace). We called the front office to have the sheet changed and at first they tried to explain that the sheet was worn and not dirty. After insisting, they had someone come in to change the sheets. Needless to say, we were very uncomfortable the entire night. The lighting in the room is very poor. The bathroom set up is strange. It looks as though it might have been an efficiency that was converted. The toilet sits behind a wall all by itself. The towels were very rough and looked like someone used them to clean their car or motorcycle. After drying yourself, they were very dark grey in color. There is no place to put the soap unless you drop it on the...
