Motel 6 Fresno, CA - Belmont Ave — Hotel in Fresno

Let me start off by saying I'm a long time VIP customer of Motel 6, my Family and I came to Fresno for our Family Reunion and was sorely disappointed. First the Pro's (because there are so few), The young Lady who was working at the front desk when we arrived(Me, My Brother and our 4 kids) was very sweet and accommodating, the bed was surprisingly comfortable, A/C worked great ( in one out of the 2 rooms we had #114/116), and finally the price. Now on to the Con's: the amount of unscrupulous characters hanging out at the Motel when we arrived (due to NO SECURITY GAURD), they were staying in # 118 and standing outside arguing over drugs and dogs and the guy who arrived on a bicycle wasn't leaving without both of them. Then the kids wanted to swim because it was 104 degrees, until we saw the lady exiting the pool covered in Track Marks and open sores all over her body, so no thank you (Not worth the risk). My rooms door #116 had been kicked in so many times the frame was screwed and the security bar lock had been replaced that there were about 10 holes where they had moved it to find a solid place to re-drill, also even locked(upper and lower locks) it opened over 1" so not a whole lot of sleep, because every time the dealer next door had a customer and opened and closed his door, my door would move as if someone was trying to come in. There were only about 12 channels on the TV, and only half of them came in clear. Lastly because the door situation there was a gap on the top and bottom of my door we woke up to cockroaches on the floor at the foot of my bed, the wall, curtains and door frame on the inside of our room. All I can say in closing is Thank God we only paid for 1 night. Sadly This kind of thing is becoming a common occurrence with Motel 6 and I believe I will start looking for other Hotel/Motel Accommodations in the future, I personally believe they don't care about the families anymore as much as anyone with a buck. This was one of the lowest standard places I have ever stayed in, the first room my fiance and I looked at was disgusting. We got a different room but wow. Our second room was fortunate enough to not have any mold or mildew an no bed bugs ( it was questionable ) but the shower curtains were coming down the lid to the back of the toilet was broken an glued or siliconed back together. Wait I'm not done yet, graffiti on the trim to door in the bathroom an on the wall above the back of the shower, the front wall of the shower was rough mud ( joint compound ) the AC only worked halfway if that, an the bed was broken in half like a 6 or so inch difference in hight between her and I when were sleeping. Ok so you wouldn't think it could get any worse lol when my fiance got ice it woke up the family of roaches living in or near the ice machine, causing them all to scurry an run across the front of the machine an everywhere around the machine. Ok at that time we both look at each other an say never again only 7 more hours. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MOTEL. I almost forgot if you do decide to stay there anyways watch out when you are walking around at night cuz first I seen an smashed a big black widow dropping from the second story. I am so thankful you sent this email. I have nothing good or nice to say about this motel. I have stayed in many Motel 6 locations and they have all been very nicely kept up. THIS motel 6 however was disgusting. First off when we walked into the room, the lights wouldn't come one. We had to flick the switch several times to get them to come on. Then when we laid our stuff on the beds we noticed burn holes, from what I can only guess was cigarette buds, ALL OVER THE BED!!!! Ok fine whatever, but then we go to take a shower, the grout is coming out everywhere. There were holes in the plaster along the shower. And as I began to take a shower there was a coach roach on the shower curtain!!!! I have never in my life been more upset at a motel stay. To make everything worse this was my daughters birthday trip to the snow. Thankfully she is only 7 so she didn't realize how terrible and disgusting our motel room was. I will never again be staying at this Motel 6, and have told more than enough people about the situation that they too will never stay here. Not that any of that matters to you guys.
