As a proud native of the land of Gorkhali, Nepal, I and my wife recently visited this restaurant in Frisco and had an exceptional dining experience. The restaurant stands out in Frisco for its unique and rich Nepalese cuisine. Aarya D. is very welcoming, assuring, and dedicated to providing an excellent dining experience. We had the pleasure of trying their pork and mutton sekuwa, Chicken Chowmein and Mutton Thukpa. .I was delighted to find out that they have a awesome canvas wall art of mountains and sherpas vibes from outside which i really love it, and I am proud of this team for presenting the culture and authenticity of my nation so well. I highly suggest this restaurant and assure you that you will love it. Give it a try and check it out for yourself. They are truly an asset to the town of Frisco for bringing this food culture to the community.
Some of the GROWS:
Thukpa was okay, might be can be done something more special for the soup of thukpa to make flavorful. (taste of food can be a good factor to come back to any restaurant)
Side of chutney and limes with sekuwa would have given a more additional touch to the flavor of sekuwa while serving them.
GLOWS: Ambiance of the restaurant is very cozy, neat and Nepali with the wall art, lightning, bar lights, TV and the patio outside. The ceramic plates they used for dish are unique and quality. Sekuwa is flavorful and signature dish of this place for me. The server will make you feel welcome and keep checking on you to make sure that you are taken care of. very attentive.
Overall , from my analysis during my visit, Management team should focus on how to make the taste of foods more flavorful. The price seems little high at this new restaurant. Especially on meat starters/appetizers prices are the prices of like entree prices, so the dining person may have debate on choosing appetizer/entree when it comes to pricing.
Dining service by server is excellent.

Read moreWe visited BaseCamp Frisco a couple of weeks back and were highly disappointed. We went with lots of hope after reading the reviews. Food was lackluster. I grew up having momos and a lot were in homes of Nepalese families and I was expecting at least something similar. We ordered the Veg Momos which had fillings I have never encountered before - too overcooked too much spices and a complete mush of things unrecognizable. Seemed like a failed effort to add flavors. The charm of momos are light (and not overcooked) fillings (cabbage, cilantro, spring onions mostly for veg momos), a rocking "achar" to go with it and a brothy soup on the side. The chutney included tasted like some uncooked base masala paste and when I asked for the "achar" I was given something resembling a Chili paste - nothing close to the Momo achar. I could order a bag of frozen dumpling from a grocery store to have it taste better. We also ordered Chowmein which was flavorless as well. Dry , hardly any vegetables and totally off balance in flavor. There were few other things ordered which were not great either. It could be the dishes we chose and possibly the non vegetarian food would weigh out better but I at least expected an original momo from here. Atmosphere is good, but service wasn't. The girl serving was sweet however we had to wait a very long time to get our full order with our order delivered to a different table. It was not that busy for the food to take that long. Overall - never...
Read moreFrisco BaseCamp offers a unique ambiance, a blend of a sports bar setting with Bollywood music playing in the background, creating an interesting and perhaps unexpected atmosphere. The restaurant also features a full bar, which we're sure is a significant draw for many patrons. We also noted that their menu is very vegetarian friendly, offering a good variety of options. Our vegetarian culinary journey began with the Wai Wai Sadeko, a Nepalese snack of crushed instant noodles with vegetables and spices. This dish had an intense and authentic flavor from the mustard oil, which we particularly appreciated. It was a refreshing and texturally interesting start. Next, we tried the Piro Aalu, the spicy potato appetizer. While the flavors were present, the dish unfortunately seemed to lack salt. The Momo in Jhol followed, and these intriguing dumplings in a creamy and flavorful sauce were a definite highlight. Unfortunately, the Chili Paneer was a significant disappointment due to the unpleasant rubbery texture, and the staff promptly and without question took it away, which we appreciated. We concluded our tasting with the Thukpa, a hearty noodle soup. This proved to be a flavorful and comforting end to the meal. While the handling of the unsatisfactory dish was commendable, the overall service was not particularly attentive. For example, our water glasses were not refilled throughout our visit, which is an area where improvement...
