PARKING * It's in a plaza so there's plenty of parking! Hoshi sushi is located next to Panda Express. It's nestled inside the plaza so that should make it easier to find.
AYCE MENU * Lots of specialty rolls! That makes me very, very happy. In addition to that, they have cut rolls, appetizers, and salads included in the AYCE menu. Some notable items include seaweed salad, calamari, chicken teriyaki, kalbi tacos, and baked mussels!
Each specialty roll is priced at about $9.95 and upwards, so you already get a great value by ordering from AYCE! Pricing, by the way, is $20.95 for lunch and lunch ends at 3pm!
WHY THE RATING? * It says on Yelp that you can make reservations but when I checked there was no availability for the next two and a half weeks. When we got there, the restaurant was relatively empty so I'm not sure why they would falsely advertise completely booked dates... they lose a star for that! Their service is TERRIBLE! I know it's easy to just leave a table alone because they're busy scarfing their plates down, but if we have to consistently flag the server down in order to get our menu set then that's just poor service. After the first round, our server just kept consistently forgetting parts of our order and I had to ask multiple times in order to receive them.
-- Overall, I would recommend coming here but just keep in mind that I came on a fairly slow day and had very slow service. The sushi is pretty good, though! And I do love free green tea ice...
Read moreThey kept taking my sheet and then bringing it back with no food. Someone else would do the same. While this is happening they would ask me did you order yet? After that this guy comes out with my kitchen order (skinny guy with glasses) with a cold, rude attitude. And then proceeds to bring me my check before I get done eating. As I walk up to pay you can hear the waiter and that guy talking about me. I asked if I can pay with a free meal stamp card (which takes 10 all you can eat purchases $26.99x10 this would have been my 2nd one this year, I have been here over 20 times with family and friends) The guy before even breathing says NO and tells me he has the right to change the rules when ever he wants and he isn't going to take it. (I have used one before with no trouble at all) When I asked when the rules changed he takes my card out of my hand and points to the rules and proceeds to tell me he can change when ever he wants. (Very entitled attitude, not surprised if he is owner's son, which is worse) I didn't want to argue and make things worse I just say ok and pay with my debt card, while processing my payment he takes a look at my stamp card again and tells me it's probably old anyways (like he shouldn't even have considered taking it in the first place). That guy is seriously horrible the last time I came he had a huge group complaining of his attitude and lack of customer service, but guess what he was the highest person you could bring a complaint too..... This place has gone down hill since I first started coming and will never be here again DONT COME! SEEK...
Read moreFood was good. Service was not so great. My husband and I were seated right away since there was no wait line. We were taken to a table but we asked for a booth. What appeared to be the manager said the booths were for parties of 4, but one of her servers pointed to another set of booths that we're available. That seemed a little off to me but we went on with our night. We decided to ordered the all you can eat sushi with 2 hot sakes and two waters. It took approximately 15 minutes to place in our 1st round of sushi. The waiter who originally greeted us seemed to be on break, no one told us. We saw the waiter eating at a nearby table. Finally someone else took our order. We got our sake but no waters. We had to ask a third waiter for our waters. Our first round came to our table. We had no condiments such as the soy sauce, wasabi, and, ginger. It seems like an unorganized mess in the restaurant. Initially the restaurant was not busy when we first arrived. As the night went on it did get busier and we got even more forgotten. A miso soup that we ordered in the first round didn't come until the end of our meal. They forget a roll at the end. To top it all off the so called manager asked us if we were done because it was already hitting the hour mark. I was confused I didn't know we were being timed and if wasn't our fault the service was extremely slow and a mess. The food was good and that is the only reasy I'm giving this place a 2 star. This was not our first time here and service was no where near this bad. Won't be...
