El Tapatio II Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Gadsden

Ordered tacos de carne asada..... (not street tacos) came out completely covered in foil, before I could unwrap the waitress gave a drive by obligatory “does everything look ok?” While walking away. Got the foil off only to see about 2 cups of cilantro chopped up onto 3 tacos. No exaggeration. The menu description has no mention of cilantro. I tried to clear enough to possibly eat it. (Nope it still tastes like soap to me) I pointed out to the waitress that it doesn’t say that it comes with cilantro on the menu, she immediately wanted to argue, but said what can I bring you? So I ordered enchiladas rancheros, with beef. Ok, so basic Mexican/Tex mex dish. Raised in Texas and I know Mexican food.... this is not it. Server basically threw my plate in front of me, it looked like a pile of slop. I feel sorry for the people who live in that area and have never experienced good Mexican food. My daughter’s taquitos were dry and definitely not worth eating. Horrible food, rude server. Do not recommend. The pile of cilantro in pic is half of what was on 1 of the tacos. Not to mention the tomatillo sauce wasn’t given with the order either. When they brought my replacement plate they didn’t even give...

I am issuing a warning regarding this Mexican restaurant, and I plan to file a report with the Better Business Bureau on Monday morning. During my recent dining experience, I witnessed an interaction between a DoorDasher and a female employee. The DoorDasher politely requested that she apply a sticker to the drinks, citing the requirement, but the employee refused. He then kindly asked her to place the drinks in a bag and tie it, which she also declined. As he departed, the employee engaged in a conversation with a colleague in Spanish, using profanity and racist remarks about the gentleman. I was able to understand the conversation as I am bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English. I have been a regular customer at this location for approximately a year, spending around $100 per week. However, due to this incident, I have decided to discontinue my patronage.

I encourage the owners to look into their employees before they lose lots...

I have always enjoyed El Tapatio . But today's visit was not a enjoyable experience. We were seated and we sat there waiting. Watching 2 different tables be sat. A waiter came to the second table after us took their drink order and brought their chips and salsa. Then he went to the 1st table seated after us did the same. Came back with their drinks chips &salsa. We have not even been greeted by a waiter still. Then a different waiter comes to table . I ask for a manager. The manager got our chips &salsa and instructed the waiter to get our drink order. Manager brought out cheese dip . So when food finally arrived. We blessed our food .I then opened my silverware and it was nasty, dried chunks of food all over the fork. Needless to say Appetite GONE. I ask for my food to be boxed. My family ate and I was fuming as I sipped my drink. When they were thru dining I ask for check. No kind of discount or anything . Thanks for the Cheese you charged me...
