They do not accommodate. Booked over the phone 5 days prior to day we needed to check in, lady gave no information other than check out time and options for late check out for additional fee. Took money for first night and also late check out. Email was sent after reservation was made and transaction completed but went to spam folder so it was not seen. Also didn’t feel it was necessary since money came out of account and we had just spoken with employee and was given verbal confirmation. ||Fast forward to the day that we were suppose to check in. We receive a phone call from campground stating we had to be checked in by 5:00 or we would not be allowed into the park until the next morning. We were currently at work and kids at school, 2.5 hours away and did not have time to get there. They did kindly offer to let us stay outside the gate with no electrical or water hook up until the gate was unlocked the next morning. Let’s be practical, that’s near impossible with 4 young kids. I simply asked for my money back since I now have to scramble to make accommodations for my family. They refused, stating we did not cancel within the 14 day period (we had not booked until 6 days prior so that would have been impossible. I also explained that they took my money without giving any rules, therefore, no way of knowing that we could not be accommodated. I simply asked for gate code as other campgrounds do but was told they could only give code once we got there and that we couldn’t drive in the campground after dark. ||Long story short she refunded some of my money. Owner acted as if she did us a HUGE favor. The initial lady assured me that I only paid $64 and that’s what was refunded. However, $81 was withdrawn from my account. On call back, the owner stated that she was aware that the initial money also being withdrawn but was only willing to refund the cost of the one night. ||Overall a terrible experience. Owner was exceptionally snippy and rude. Thankful that I did get a partial refund but do feel as though I was taken advantage of. Wish I would have read reviews before booking as it looks as if I am not the only one that has had issue similar to this. ||**Review left with permission from owner as she stated that she did not care what we did, as it was not a concern of hers. 😂 obviously, she does not care about customer...
Read moreWe absolutely love this place. The people are kind and the customer service is superb. Our reservation was made last weekend for this past Friday. About 2 hours until closing time (1 hour after we'd precisely said we were leaving and did) the lady called to check on us to make sure everyone was OK and that everything was going OK. Now, she may have been calling to make sure we were still keeping our reservations but the carry out was second to absolutely none. Masks were required to enter the office and gift shop. They kept with it, too, as was the mandate but also the integrity of this business. This was our experience.
Once we got their, we noticed there was side of the street parking for RV's waiting to enter the site. It wasn't just because they were waiting in line. It was because there was an escort cart leading you to your reserved spot. The guys were so helpful and kind. Not only did they lead us to our spot but the man helped us park and hooked up all of our lines. (Who else does that?!) Also, upon check-in, you are given and rfid card for entrance should you need or choose to leave the premises.
Starting here comes with lots of amenities that come with your reservation and stay. They are: Free cable Free internet (shared network with a password, of course and 2 servers) =3 clean, very well kept, swimming pools. (1 is a lap pool and 2 are kids' pools that start at 6 inches and max depth at 2 feet.) Splash and sprinkler pad for the young at heart with a sunning area just to catch some extra rays. Access to fishing and boat docks Small, little church (that actually holds Sunday services) Restaurant with service Equipment to rent for all your water fun needs including Pontoon boat rental Tiny houses for lease or purchase And more. The view is amazing and we were able to fish for several hours until the sun went down. There are swings along the trail that follows around the water. They face the water and are made for people of all ages and size. The atmosphere is phenomenal and relaxing. The property is well maintained. I recommend this spot to anyone, couple, or family. It was a...
Read moreThis was our first trip to River Rocks Landing. PRO: Super-friendly staff all around. We were led to our site, and our host actually got out and guided us in to our back-in spot, lot 139, a FHU site with 50 amp, and on the water (bay side, according to map). Park was very clean, with walking paths around the entire park (well lit at night), with community swings along the path throughout and a few common area fire pits with seating. We did not use the pools, but there are 3, one infinity, one heated and also a splash pad for kids. The onsite restaurant (Current Market and Deli) recently opened, and the food (burgers, dogs, pizza, etc.) was very fresh and tasty. Quite time is 10pm to 8am and everyone adhered to this rule during our stay. Views are amazing and many folks were fishing right from the walking path. CON: It's true; sites are super tight! To sit outside and watch our outside TV, our chairs were about 24" from our neighbors camper; we could not extend our awning all the way without it touching their unit. Picnic tables are kid-sized, I believe because a full size would not really fit. The electrical appears to be old, but we had no issues. Wifi was essentially non-existent at our space; we use verizon and were able to connect via our jetpack. No space for parking your tow. Some folks pulled diagonally to their RV or camper, and some across from their RVs/campers which likely explains the 5 MPH speed limit. We have a 40' motorhome and tow car. There appear to be quite a few permanent residents (or very long-term) 'guests'. Overall, I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars, as they are getting a lot of things right; in my opinion, the biggest con is the place is just WAY overdeveloped for the amount of land available. I understand there are few pull in spots on the 'other' side that take up 2 spots, but we could not confirm. If this is an option, we may be back, but otherwise, too tight for us for a...
