I can't say enough good things about this place. Words are just not enough to describe how great the food is, and the service. To tell you about the taste and flavor w, be enough. It's just something you have to go and see for yourself. I had the barbecue ribs tonight , they were so wonderful ,you could taste the smoked flavor ,so tender, just falling off the bone a, perfect! My husband had the smoke chicken, which I've also had before, and it does not disappoint... cooked absolutely truely to perfection So many wonderful side items to choose from, it's hard to pick just two. We had the pintos and turnip greens ,both home-cooked, definitely not out of a can. We also had Brunswick stew wich I'm happy to say, that they do still serve even in the summer. I think I could eat it year round. There's just so many choices of vegetables you can go read the menu for yourself. Do yourself a flavor go heret, the whole family. We were in town camping in Gadsden, we live about an hour and a half away, it's so wonderful, it would be worth the drive back out here to eat on the weekends. If it gave me the option, I would give ten Stars. The only downside for me, which would not stop me from going back , is I don't particularly care for their barbecue sauce. it's a little tangy tasting and I prefer something with a little bit of sweet flavor to it, but that's just me, don't let that stop you from going and paying a visit to this...
Read moreWe arrived at 5 pm with a party of 7, 4 adults, 3 children. My father-in-law gave them our name and we were told it would about 30 minutes. We sat and enjoyed speaking with several people who came and went, some even having already eaten and left. After an hour, we, for the third time, asked how much longer we'd need to wait. The young girl at the counter said there were only 2 large tables and the customers had not left them yet. My husband expressed his displeasure at the hour long wait. A woman with short brown hair, no visible nametag, said we could just go to top-a across the street after she'd referred to my father-in-law as "that guy." Others behind the counter were laughing at us. At that point, I got up and directed everyone to leave...We are or were regular customers, spending large amounts on carryout at least once a month. With the mask mandate being lifted, we were excited about eating out for the first time in a long while. Pruett BBQ has lost a family of customers. I will be very glad to spread the word that the service workers are horrible, rude people with no clue how to treat customers. I hope the owners of the establishment read this because they need to know what they are hiring. How hard would have been to push 2 tables together? Instead, the young ladies simply belittled us and then dared to laugh at our discomfort....
Read moreI went through drive through on 1-15-2013 at 8pm and ordered a barbeque plate, beef salad, and chocolate pie. When girl brought the order to the window to pay I asked her specifically if the three items were in the bag and she said yes. I got home and there was no beef salad. Instead I was given chicken fingers. Called back for refund and manager said sorry come back for salad all the white boxes look the same so easy mistake for her to make. I explained it was an hour before closing and there was no way I could make it back on time so manager said sorry I will have the owner call you. The owner called about 30 minutes later and said sorry I have closed out for the night. The owner said you need to bring chicken fingers back tomorrow with you for a credit card refund. He would not give a refund over the phone and instead wanted to inconvenience me over restaurant's mistake. DO NOT GO THROUGH THE DRIVE THROUGH AS "ALL THE BOXES LOOK THE SAME" SO YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO GET. If you get the wrong item and live any distance away expect to be asked to drive back. They have a very rude manager, assistant manager, and owner. WOULD RECOMMEND EATING SOMEWHERE ELSE. THE I DO NOT CARE ATTITUDE IS VERY APPARENT AT...
