Abysmal. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, everyone has them, but it was particularly bad timing for me and Arby's. My daughter has always hated the place, and I have always loved it. For decades. I finally convinced her to try it one more time before casting final judgment, and so we went. We waited in the car almost 20 minutes for them to NOT bring our order out to us. I eventually went inside to get it. Barely an apology from the disimpassioned staff. When I did, and brought it out, the food was flat-out miserable. The chicken in the Cordon Bleu was card-board thin, and tasted like it. It was not hot, it was not fresh, it was overcooked, it was flavorless. I looked at my daughter and said "I give up. You win. I'll never make you try Arby's again." Thanks to this one branch, this one day. You only have one chance to make a first impression. Well, my daughter gave them a second chance. Fail.
Update: she gave them another chance this evening, and it was quite good. Had the beef & cheddar, and she has since revised her predjudice against Arby's. I have revised my judgement of this Arby's, as the service and food were above par. So, four stars for Gainesville East Arby's.
Update #2: Best. Arby's. Ever.
Miss Anne and all the rest make every visit pure joy. I know. What a turn-around and what a thing to say about a fast-food restaurant... But it's true. Every employee cares and takes their time to make sure you want to come back. I'm...
Read moreUsually service is great here. Ended up getting our meal in the drive thru and there was no cars behind us. They asked us to pull up to wait on our food. I asked why and was told everything was timed. Seems kinda like your cheating the system when you do that doesn't it? Anyway, ended up getting our food after a while and when we checked it we got our large fry that was half filled. I went back to ask if we could actually get a large fry and was told we only ordered a medium. I told them I was pretty sure that I ordered a large but I couldn't confirm because they didn't even give me a receipt due to the machine being broken. It was a very uncomfortable situation even after one of the staff pointed out that the order on the screen did show a large fry. Also when I went into this same place about a week prior I stopped by the bathroom to wash my hands before ordering. The soap dispenser did not work at all and the towel dispenser barely worked. I started to wonder if employees were actually washing their hands before returning to work like the sign says in the bathroom. From what I was told it has been broken for a while. This is one of the cleaner Arby's that I have been to but it looks like some things are...
Read moreI go to this Arby's a few times a week because it is close to my office. I went last week and the young man at the window sort of threw my change at my hand and it landed on the ground. He just said, "Sorry." He didn't replace it. I couldn't open my car door because there isn't enough room to do so without scratching my car door on the side of the building. I went again today. I had a gift card with a few dollars on it and planned to use it up by buying lunch. My lunch total was 3.40. I had 3.54 on my card. Same young man just hands it back to me. He blankly looked at me when I said, "Did it take anything off?" "No." So I paid in cash. These are not big things. They are small things. Small things add up. I love the food at Arby's. I usually have exemplary service at this store. Because I love the store and love the service, I am making this review so that the problem can be fixed and maybe this young man can get a little more training and do...
