Taco Mac Gainesville — Restaurant in Gainesville

My Wife & I work long hours and never have time/energy to cook! We’re Taco Mac regulars, or at least all the staff know us by name anyway (R&A Mack)! A few of the servers will even grab us from the greeter, so we usually don’t have to wait on a table! We maybe found at that table at least once a week, since they opened in Gainesville anyway. My wife once managed a nice restaurant and is a redhead; if you can please her, you got something special in you!

The menu is extremely amiable, as there’s something for every palate! This helps when you have one of those wives who never knows what she wants! As a man, if you know, you know!

We’re currently working towards our doctorate at the Brewniversity! Again, if you know, you got the APP!

Yes, as posted by others, sometimes parking is something to be desired. However, depending on the time of the day and if ACE hardware is closed, the resourceful will find a way! Anything worth having, is worth walking to!

As for the servers; ask for Jenna, Alissa, Ansley, Jennifer, Rachel, Cassandra, Alejandro (Ale) or Matt! Yes, the servers are as amiable as that menu we favor and our beer!

It’s strange for regulars, but we don’t know the managers anymore; we do miss Ken! I never knew much of him, just his Character really. However, Ken made this place what it is, he was freaking Awesome! If we knew where he manages now, we would be regulars there too!

Where is Ken, will he come back? We’re into season 2 without him now! This is as bad as losing Rick Grimes in the Walking Dead!

DO NOT GO TO TACOMAC IN GAINESVILLE!!!!!! Me and Dyl my fiancé went to TACOMAC this morning and they tried to sit us on the patio (which was dog friendly) and it was freezing so I was like she is a service dog she can sit in side it’s illegal to not let us, so she got the manger the manager came he said It was like either sit outside or leave and I was like that’s legal sir. She’s a service dog which said he proceeds to ask for certification I said in America there’s no certification and he’s like well then it’s outside or leave and I was like that’s illegal and he goes That’s your choices. He was very rude about it He’s like we just open I don’t have to don’t wanna do this right now and I was like well it’s the law it looked up the law idc and then I looked up the to show him he’s like I don’t care out side or leave and he goes. “I’ll think about it” in a very rude tone!!!!

Tons of really grungy dirty employees standing around doing nothing when the place was disgusting and it's brand new. The "boy" at the hostess stand was standing there talking to like 8 servers that were doing NOTHING then they had the entire place mostly available yet they sat us all the way in the corner by Togo and next to another entire table of employees that were doing nothing. Trash all over the floor under our table and everyone's table. The floor was so greasy I almost slipped going to the bathroom (from using kitchen mop in FOF which is a no-no and against health code). Our wings had enough seasoning on them to kill a horse. Had to send them back after I became flush and felt as if I had salt poisoning. Ate here 3 times and every time I've had issues with my food... the gentleman manager that was there last time seemed to run a much better restaurant with far less crew. The female managers that were there this past Sunday acted like their crew was their buddies and they were just there to chill. I like taco Mac, but all three times I've been to this one its been a major disappointment. Stealing my money at this point. Our waitress was very polite and professional which made me overlook the fact that she forgot us multiple times and had to scurry away and retrieve what we had requested.
