Bagel Bakery — Restaurant in Gainesville

The manager at this location was extremely rude to me. I ordered a breakfast combo (egg sandwich with coffee) and heard that a coffee was ready to grab after I gave my order. After I paid, I went to grab the coffee only to get told (in a rude and condescending manner) that that wasn’t mine and the coffee I ordered wasn’t made at the espresso bar. I didn’t know how it works because I’ve never been here before. And they never gave me a cup to grab my own coffee so I thought the coffee they called out was mine. I went to retrieve my coffee cup after realizing I still never got one and I paid for it, only to be talked to rudely once again and told that “I didn’t listen to him” when he still never explained how it worked to me. I asked to speak to the manager and the man who was rude to me turned out to be the manager. He purposely made me feel stupid in an attempt to humiliate me when I simply didn’t understand how their system worked. Next time, this manager should have more patience and understanding that I was confused rather than bashing me for accidentally taking a coffee that wasn’t mine. I've been here a bunch of times. The absolute best bagels in town, and when I've visited other non-NY towns, and I try the best bagels in those towns, Bagel Bakery is always better. I will say their process for ordering and waiting on your bagel could use a revamp. It's a big of a mess back there, the way the staff take orders based on who they see first, or who speaks up first; a staff member starts your order, then moves on to another order while you're bagel is toasting, and you can only hope they remember your ET bagel just hanging out in the sad dump at the end of the toaster. Sometimes they don't remember it, and you have to remind them. I get it, I don't blame them on a process that should've been addressed by now, and obviously it's not enough to stop me from going there, but that process bugs me every time. Don't get me started on waiting in the line to pay if your food isn't done yet. Can I... Can I cut on front of people to pay for the bagel I already have?? The food is delicious every time I’ve ever been here. But today I was very very unpleased and dissatisfied with this one lady that’s working here today she was extremely rude and on purpose skipped making my two sausage, egg and cheese croissant sandwiches all because she got an attitude because I had asked for the croissants on the top of the shelf instead of the ones at the very bottom of the shelf, I spent over $20 in there to have myself stand here and wait for other people that ordered offered after me to get their food all because she got an attitude because she didn’t want to grab two croissants on the top shelf which saved her physical exercise of not having to bend down Never have I ever experienced this much rudeness coming to this place. I come here every single weekend her rudeness will not keep me from coming, but I love giving views on places so they can make sure they keep the restaurants and stores running properly have a blessed day I will not allow her rudeness to keep me from coming back to an amazing place for breakfast and brunch and lunch I recommend everyone to try the...
