So, I've been going here for... Well, as long as I can remember. Back when I was a small child with my mom. I have loved China 88 for as long as I've loved Chinese food. If you're in Gainesville and haven't yet had the pleasure of dining with China 88, you are truly missing out! They are a beloved staple in our community, offering not only an incredible variety of delicious, freshly prepared dishes but also a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like you're part of their family from the moment you step inside.

A hidden gem about this wonderful place that you also may not know is- they make boba tea in all sorts of flavors and it is SO awesome. I tried the kiwi and peach with mango jelly and it was so, so good and so well priced. 100/100 will get again.

The food at China 88 is absolutely top-notch. Whether you're craving classic favorites like General Tso's Chicken, sweet and sour pork, or the perfect combination fried rice, you can rest assured that every bite is bursting with flavor and made with the highest quality ingredients. They go out of their way to make us and our family feel so welcomed and so appreciated. No matter what side of town I'm on, I always make sure to map directions to China 88 whenever it's time to get some fantastic comfort food.

I just recently moved to Gainesville and I was absolutely blown away by China 88 the first time I tried it. Not once in my life have I connected this much with the owners of a restaurant -they are literally the sweetest and super down to Earth. I can tell they take great pride in the food they make and pour their whole hearts into every single dish. The food is an absolute testament to this!! For this reason I keep coming back. I've tried a great variety of the menu but here are some of my favorite dishes: The bourbon chicken is a MUST TRY, AMAZING Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken that tastes like REAL ORANGES and not some mass produced sauce, Wonton Soup, Low mein... You name it they've got it all and do not cut any corners. You should def check out their lunch special. I cannot believe that all of this food comes at such a reasonable price. I love China 88. I have lived in Gainesville for a long time. After moving back from being out of state for a couple of years I started to search for my "go to" Chinese food in town. I tried a couple of places that were near my home with underwhelming results. I got take out from China88 for lunch one day and my food was terrific. I went back again and again. Lunch and now often dinner too. I get China88 at least once a week (sometimes more). I admit, I get Chinese food more often than I should but it's soooo good. I have never had an issue with the service, with my food order, or the quality of my food. I really enjoy the chicken wings as they are big and not coated in the curry powder like many other Chinese food places do. The owners and their daughter are always super friendly and now recognize me when I come in. Even though China88 is not the closest to my home or to my job, I will gladly drive the extra distance.
