The customer service and policies need a lot of work, specifically navigating COVID-19.
I usually love going to NW Seafood to buy salmon, crab legs, and the yummy dips, but I truly feel like I was bullied out of the store today.
First of all, let me say, the pandemic is a weird time for all businesses, and I understand some things arenāt forced by government mandates.
I entered the store today and was waiting to purchase some fish. I wanted to see it first to make sure I was getting the cut I wanted. There was another customer in the area I wanted to navigate , and I didnāt mind waiting a couple minutes for him to finish his order so we could properly socially distance in the tight space.
The guy behind the counter yelled to me asking me what I wanted. I told him I was cool with waiting until the other customer was done with his order. He then told me āsocially distancing isnāt a thing if you are wearing a maskā. I spoke out, telling him I didnāt feel that information was true, as I am a service provider and my husband is a healthcare worker. He got very defensive and saying āIām not trying to start an argument with you!!!ā I told him I wasnāt either , but I would prefer to wait so I could distance myself. š¤·āāļø
He then began berating me, embarrassing me in front of the people behind me in line, saying āYou are REALLY gonna try and hold up this WHOLE LINE!?ā Mind you, I had literally only been waiting for a couple of minutes and didnāt feel I was being unreasonable.
I ended up leaving without purchase after he made me feel so bad in front of the other customers. I usually donāt get super emotional, but he left me feeling so embarrassed for trying to do the right thing. I feel like we have all learned more patience from waiting in lines for things we usually wouldnāt be waiting for, and he made me feel bad for trying to wait my turn (for not only my safety, but anyone elseās) .
My husband and I contacted the owner, but he didnāt seem concerned. Iāll miss their selection of seafood, but I donāt think I will be giving them anymore business while we navigate social distancing and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst, I will say that the food was really good. This was my first time visiting this location. I went online and looked up my order to get an idea of prices and the sides (I entered the order as if I was going to place an online order) Basically that gave me the total and taxā¦it was the pick two with 3 sides.. when I arrived I placed my order, during the conversation the cashier ( who was pleasant ) never told me that I couldnāt changed my sides from the original coleslaw, fries and hush puppies..I had already checked the online before coming, it lets you pick your 3 sides and charge you extra for the broccoli or okra. I received my order and discovered that I only had 2 sidesā¦As I said, online it allowed me to pick fries, broccoli, and okra as my sides with 2 proteins total 21.39. Itās the same total the cashier gave me.. The cook who was on break (sitting on the bench) overheard me ask for my 3rd side. She appeared confused, but she cooked the fries. She came back out and told the cashier, ā next time make sure you tell themā. She walked over handed me the fries, which should have been the end of the conversation but it wasnāt. I could tell she was a little frustrated but I kindly explained no one explained the policy of no substitutions even though you can do it online apparently. She placed a menu in my hand, and pointed at a random section and said and now you know. I believe she may have become frustrated because she was taking a break ( on the bench) and I came back in for clarification on whether I was supposed to receive 3 sides or not! I didnāt direct this question to her . I was speaking to the cashier. Basically it would have been easier to just tell me about your substitutions before she cooked the fries. No customer wants to feel scolded just for asking about the menu . But the food was delicious. However I I do understand that inflation is a factor when dealing with food , the pick two it only gives u five shrimp and one piece of fish and your 2 or 3 sides (21.39) expensive for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAdam, the manager, was very disrespectful!!! What an awful first experience!!!
I called today to order takeout and spoke to someone from the restaurant and he was very disrespectful⦠Instead of speaking respectfully and answering my questions with respect he was speaking with a rude attitude with no interest to my questions. I asked for his name and also to speak to his manager but he avoided to answer and Instead of apologizing and trying to speak with good manner he opted to hung up the phone disrespectfully!!!
I called again and asked for the manager again, to my surprise, he answered again and he said that his name is Adam and he is the manager!! I am not sure what his problem is, but I am a customer who is willing to pay for your service and I am asking simple questions and need help in choosing from your menu, but it seems that customer service is not a top priority here!!
This was my first time ever to order from this branch⦠I am used to ordering from Tioga and the guys there are great and very respectful, they take all the time needed to answer all my questionsā¦. This was a special lunch I wanted to enjoy with my family on our free time but what a bad experience I got from your restaurantā¦. It was really a waste of time...
