El Carreton Taqueria — Restaurant in Gainesville

So Im a regular customer from this place, well I just to because I won’t come back after my experience today… I’ve been going to this taqueria straight for 2 years requesting the same order “2 tacos de pollo, 2 tacos de chorizo” asking for tortilla separate and meet separate… it mean tortilla in one plate and the meet in another plate… it was never a problem till today, I remember different days they were so busy that I happy waited 1 hour for my order without any issue… today 08/04 I went again there were different staff… I requested the same, after small talking between the cashier and the person who get the order ready she told me “we can’t do this because we are busy” I asked her what is the difficulty of get the tortilla in one plate and the meet in another? She told me “we can’t I’m sorry” … FYI it was like 6 people outside and the parking lot was kind of empty so, I’ll take my busy somewhere else where they can at least follow my request even though I need...

Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Guy took my order and I waited patiently. I could see the employees just cutting up and not really paying attention to their customers. After almost 30 mins I walked up to the counter and asked if my food was almost done. Told him my number and he told his cook to just now make my order. There was no crowd and only two persons ahead of me. I was more than patient waiting for my order. After hearing him tell the cook to make my food, I asked for my money. The guy smirked and smiled as if he thought it was funny that I just wasted 30 mins for nothing. Didn’t try to make it right just flat out did not give a damn. I ordered via DoorDash. Honestly, I should’ve just had a bowl of oatmeal for dinner. I sat up and waited for nothing but pure disappointment. Either I’m used to “Americanized tacos” or these weren’t seasoned well. I’m highly disappointed in the chorizo tacos too. They were better than the chicken tacos I ordered. I also ordered a side of rice and that had hard bits in it. I was also charged $4 for salsa but got the little dip-sized salsa containers. I can’t believe this was all bland. I expected so much more because of the reviews and my experience from eating at previous Mexican restaurants. Maybe because I ordered right before closing but I refuse to believe most of the review are giving praise for this. I’ll try again, during a more popular time to see if there’s a difference.
