La Mejor De Michoacan, Inc. — Restaurant in Gainesville

Does not deserve any stars. Pass three different Michoacán’s to visit this one in particular because I always have been a loyal customer for years. Took my three kids to enjoy some ice cream today I ordered a fruit water and they each had a cone mind you all items are 5$ a piece. As proceeding to checkout with a car seat in one arm and my wallet in the other they hand me the fruit water to carry down to the register while providing no counter space for assistance. As I went to push my straw into the cup with one hand the cup tipped and spilt the entire cup of fruit water. As I apologized I had my two older kids bring me napkins as I cleaned the entire mess because I felt so terrible about the incident. As we move on down to the register the man asks if I would like another fruit water and I said yes please if you do not mind. He then tells me that he will have to charge me twice because I am being charged for the one that was spilt. I should have had my kids give back their cones and walk out of the store but instead I kept my mouth shut, paid 16$ for two ice cream cones and a spilt fruit water. I will not be visiting this michocan again. I have worked at a ice cream shop before and it is more important to please the customer and keep them coming back to spend money rather than to charge double to be profitable. I took my nephews to get ice cream. This was their favorite place their dad used to take them to. We stood in line for 10 minutes, another customer walked in, an employee walked straight past us to serve them. No one acknowledged us. I saw the other lady was finished serving her customers, so we walked over to her side of the counter. Instead of serving us, she walked to the opposite side and helped the customers at the end of the line. Several minutes later she came back over, I asked her if she could please help us next. She argued with me saying I moved from where I was standing. I told her I was coming to her side of the counter, but she argued that "I moved". Ingrid came out from the back and the rude female employee asked her to help us. She was actually super nice and helpful. The ONLY reason I give it 2 stars is because of how nice Ingrid was and our ice cream...

If I could give ZERO stars I would! Staff was disrespectful! Gave us a rude glare when me and my party entered just because we were a big group. We decided to ignore but it continued. The didn't give us our full respect. Plus there wasn't enough chili en los tostilocos. Towards the end of our unpleasant visit we acknowledged the unapropiate behavior of the staff!
