I don't even have a good thing to say about this place. The server had an attitude acted like he did not even want to wait on us. We were a table of nine we were all hungry and we were all very easy going. The server did not write down anything he just thought he could do it from memory, clearly he couldn't My dish that I ordered was the Texas fajitas and the shrimp was okay but the beef was very tough The chicken was dried out there were no onions or peppers on the dish at all and it didn't even come to the table sizzling it didn't make any noise whatsoever and when I tasted the food it was cold. One of our friends had a avocado rind and paper in her dish. She couldn't even finish the dish after she found that in her plate. When we spoke to the manager all he could say was see how fresh our food is. He did nothing to the fact of making it right in any way. I also ordered a bloody Mary and I'm not sure what came to the table but had nothing to do with a bloody Mary it tasted like lime and I couldn't even tell you what the other part of that dish was The only thing familiar with the olives. I will never repeat that...
Read moreI have been going to a particular Tex-Mex restaurant for many years and considered it to be my most favorite. Well, that's going to change. My lunch buddy and I visited the recently opened El Sombrero on 1705 Browns Bridge Road for lunch yesterday. The restaurant was warm, inviting, and comfortable. The wait staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. First of all, the chips and salsa were great. The salsa was a little different from any I have had before. It had just the right amount of herbs, slightly sweet, savory and zesty. The amount of jalapeño was perfect. Just enough to give it that bite. But what made it special compared to others was the slight smokey flavor. It was delicious. I ordered the Lunch Special, No. 2. I requested the additon of queso on my burrito. I thought everything on my plate was delicious. Even the rice and beans. There was an abundance of flavor with everything on my plate. Even the queso was better than I have ever had. I enjoyed this lunch more than I have at any other Tex-Mex restaurant I have visited. This restaurant has now taken the number one spot of...
Read moreMe and my husband went out for dinner on July 15th the food was delicious like always but at the end of the evening whenever it was time for us to pay the lady gave us our check. And it seemed very weird when she asked if we need to change and then I responded to her saying yes please. But whenever I received my change she never gave us a receipt or the correct change. Our bill was $33 and some change and we are supposed to get back $6 and some change but she shorted us a dollar and some change and never gave me the receipt so basically she stole some change for me regardless it was just change and a $1 but still it was the fact of the matter is I was going to give her a $5 tip but why would I want to do that with someone who stole money from us. We have went to this El sombrero from the beginning even when before the other one burned down and before this one was built. There isn't no telling who else she stole change our money from at the end of the night. We may not even come back because of that. And that's sad because we love the owners...
