Mom's Donut Shop — Restaurant in Gainesville

Only been here twice so far, but they are always super friendly, patient, & their food is delicious! Try the Cajun Empañada, you won't be disappointed. :) Their donuts are fresh and yummy, and sometimes you can see then working through the window in the back making all the goodness. Jalapeño sausage kolache's are very yummy, and I've heard their sandwiches for lunch are great too, although I've not eaten one myself. I'm going to have to make a point to come back at lunch for one of their Chicken Salad Sandwiches, and I'll update this review when I do.

Everything is always so fresh tender and delicious the variety is incredible the staff always very friendly and helpful and even have ideas when you're indecisive about what you want. My wife and I went for a very long time she loved all the donuts from there and the different pastries. She since passed about a year ago and I just went in the other day and just kind of took me back it was nice same staff their staff there that worked with my wife way back a long time ago somewhere else and they still remember. I discovered this donut shop while on trips to the Winstar Casino. I not only enjoy visiting small towns in Texas, but love to find great local businesses. This place is wonderful, and I highly recommend the apple fritters. I have tried these everywhere and these are the best! They are huge and delicious and are a great value too! Don't forget to try the pig and cheese in a croissant as well. These are incredibly addictive and you'll want to go back for more.
