Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Galena

My first time going to this location. I pulled into the lot to go in to pick up my order (giant sign on front of building said “OPEN FOR DELIVERY & CARRY OUT). Front door was locked. Employee going in said drive thru only. I go to the drive thru, and sat there for 3 minutes before I was even acknowledged. In fact, I had to wave my hand for someone to come to the window. I asked if their buzzer was broke. The lady said “he didn’t have a mask on.” I said “ok, I’ve been sitting here for a while.” And she just asked for the name and walked away. When I looked inside, the employee that didn’t have the mask on and couldn’t come to the window, was INSTEAD preparing food without a mask on. Really??? No apology was given to me for the wait in the drive thru. Very poor customer service and y’all gotta wear a mask to talk to the customers at the drive thru window but not to make/prepare the food??? Unfortunately, I have to give this a star that they don’t deserve. After the first bad experience, I decided to blow it off. After today and reading other recent reviews, I’m bypassing the location and sent my concerns directly to Pizza Hut Corp. Their online ordering is 90% ignored as you can’t get extra sauce ON the pizza and they don’t read the “Special Instructions” portion of the order. Lest we forget the toppings that you want don’t get from the refrigerator to the pizza. We as customers should not have to put up with incompetent service THAT WE PAY FOR just because it’s the only pizza(and I use that term loosely)place in town. By looks and smell, the pizza was nice. The dough was well cooked on the bottom and around the edge, but it was very doughy under the toppings. It would have been good if it had been fully cooked. I put part of it in the microwave and finished cooking it, but the trash got the rest. The breadsticks were good. The cinnamon sticks were cooked but not good. We did not like the way it was topped at all. I was so disappointed. I had not been there in several years. I was in town and I wanted to give them a chance.
