Vui's Kitchen - Gallatin — Restaurant in Gallatin

My hubby and I have wanted to dine at Vui's Kitchen in Gallatin for quite some time and finally had the time to do so today. It was wonderful. Justin greeted us with a beautiful, genuine smile and expertly described all the menu selections, guiding us to the perfect choice for each of us: absolutely delicious; I had a summer roll and the Thai shrimp skewers with rice; my hubby had the Thai noodle bowl with chicken --- truly, all so YUMMY!! Justin checked in with us several times during our meal, to be sure everything was perfect, and it absolutely was. We felt so warmly welcome throughout our meal. Honestly, Justin couldn't have provided better service if he himself owned Vui's (note to owner: you are most fortunate to have Justin on your team; his authentic thoughtfulness, professionalism, pride in the restaurant, and joyful demeanor make terrific first and lasting impressions). At the end of the meal we met Destinee and Lou, two other delightful team members, both of whom are also great assets to Vui's Kitchen. Thank you Justin, Destinee, and Lou! Thank you...

I had hoped to like it but it wasn't worth the $80 (for 4 people!). The online menu had no prices. In my experience, when they hide the prices it is usually unreasonably expensive and it was. Service at the drive up window was very good (but look out for the 15% tip setting). It is fast food so I'm not going to tip 15% for window service. For good table service sure, but not for a pick up window.

The food was just okay. The pork was so fatty we had to discard half of it. Frankly I can go to Panda Express and pay half as much money and get more food.

The bottom line is for over $20 per person (4 entries, 2 small starters, no drinks) we would rather just go to a regular restaurant instead of paying $80 at a drive up window.

The food at this location is decent. My husband got the Bahn Mi with steak and said it was good. I was disappointed that I had hair in my food. They were course gray and black hairs about 3 inches long. Maybe someone with salt and pepper hair? There were two hairs and I couldn't bring myself to finish my food. I also got a coffee from here on 7/14 and the coffee was made on 6/24.. I'm assuming that was the date it was made written on it and hopefully not an expiration date. 21 day old coffee is unacceptable to serve. I didn't see the coffee until I got all the way home since I went through the drive thru. I ended up throwing the coffee away. I did not feel comfortable drinking it. There was also no label on it. No nutritional information or ingredients. I didn't feel like driving 20 minutes back either. My husband and I may not try this...
