ZERO Stars but not possible - Ordered a breakfast burrito. Picked it up, got back to my office and opened up the foil wrapping. I could instantly see the bacon and hashbrowns were burned. The eggs, more so, with large amounts of golden singed edges. I could smell old grease. Because I was hungry I decided to take a bite. Biggest mistake ever. It tasted like charred grill, old rancid grease as the bacon disintegrated into powder in my mouth. I took back the burrito. Notified it tasted horrible. The lady immediately returned my money but the old man got upset and told me to "NEVER COME BACK" if I thought the food was bad. Best advise to me and to the rest of you. DON'T...

I like Maria's. It is an unpretentious hole-in-the-wall breakfast and lunch place geared for the local trade. It shows its roots as a family run restaurant from the sports trophies on the wall to the multiple generations you will find working there. The food is good, but if you are looking for that "special" experience you will be better off elsewhere. This is a Mom and Pop diner in the downtown area. Very good food and fast with orders. I usually get chili cheese fries and burgers from here. Choose red or green chili (green is hotter here) or both to make it christmas all year round. Just say christmas and they know it will be both. They usually have a daily muffin or cupcake which I would suggest you also get because it is made daily and from scratch.
