Not sure why this place only has 3 stars. I thought the food was delicious. I was expecting the moody gardens to have overpriced greasy pizza and burger options. But I was pleasantly surprised this buffet was well thought out and had a lot of options for adults and kids. The meatloaf was actually amazing and I actually usually hate meatloaf. It’s gravy based and not tomato based so that’s probably why. I was skeptical about buffet Mac and cheese but it was legit. The desserts were good too and the salad bar was very fresh. I have zero complaints.
Our server this afternoon was such a sweet young man. I wish I could remember his name. He worked this afternoon (Black Friday) during lunch and was so attentive to us and even got my baby some juice when we ran out of juice boxes. He was so friendly and helpful. His parents should be so proud of him. 🙂 if I ever come back to Galveston for future trips, I’m definitely gonna be coming back here. Again, I don’t know what these reviewers are expecting. You’re at a garden/amusement park; not a 5 star steakhouse with valet. I have been to many zoos, botanical gardens, and aquariums and the restaurant options at most of them don’t even compare to this place. Great experience and I would love to...
Read moreWe ate at the garden restaurant and it was not good. I was very surprised for it to be so expensive that the waiter we had was very rude, not very helpful. He told me there was no butter for the rose. I went up to the right buffet to see if there was any butter up there and then it was right there. So he was too lazy to find out if there was any butter seriously. Also, he didn't come back and ask us. Enough If we wanted anything else, he just seemed to be very laid back and didn't really care about his job, I don't know if he was new or want, but that's no excuse. Also, the food on the buffet was not that great. The only thing that was any good was the beef soup, the learner nut Squash was horrible. It was served cold. You don't serve that cold. You serve it hot I'm very disappointed in this restaurant.I will not be eating here again if I visit movie gardens again.Horrible experience for the moneyI paid a hundred and twenty three dollars to eat there. It's not very kid freely.I can tell you that the nuggets were terrible too.The food is just not that great.Honestly, feel like I need a refund because the food...
Read moreStopped by today in between exploring the pyramids. I don’t know why so many bad reviews. I had a wonderful experience. For only $25 per adult we were able to get the buffet, which includes free water or tea. Everything was delicious: the baked potato , RIBEYE steak, the salads, pastas, beef soup, fresh fruit! Everything was fresh and delicious. The servers were very friendly. When we were done with a plate they swiftly removed it. When we needed refills, they were there. We were seated near the window with wonderful views. For my daughter we got the Mac and cheese for $7 instead of paying $15 for the buffet for her, since I know she wouldn’t eat much I didn’t think it was worth it. Prices were good for a buffet in my opinion, because the quality and flavor is there. We spent more at Saltgrass yesterday (just for 2 adults) and not nearly as good. Only negative is the tables and chairs, need to upgrade them to something not so 1900s looking. But other than that 10/10. Oh and if you don’t want buffet you can also just order like a...
