I love Arby's. It is without doubt my favorite fast food restaurant. I have been to this Arby's many times through the drive-through but glad to see their dining room is now open. I believe it was a mistake today to go into the dining room. There wasn't anyone to greet me when I walked in, and in fact, I stood for several minutes at the front counter while they were all busy working in the back and taking care of the drive-through. Finally, I believe the drive-through clerk came over, but without a smile or a hello, I just asked what am I ordering. I would have increased my order, but after I placed the few items I had mentioned, I was given a total, without the chance to have any questions, and they did not upsell to me any items. I got my drink and sat down. I did not have to wait long for my name to be called out. The food was good, prepared well and quick. Unfortunately the problem was the kitchen staff, especially the manager who was extremely loud. Not just regular work conversations, but casual conversations and laughing. Of course people working can have fun, but why do they need to be at such a loud decibel level that I can't enjoy my meal? The interior of the restaurant was clean and might have been more enjoyable if the staff had not been screeching and hollering...
Read moreIt is almost painful to hear the lack of emotion or enthusiasm in the voice of those who work here. It seems gloomy and unwelcoming. During the night time, it is always very poorly lit and that almost seems intentional to discourage people coming in. Often times, even the menu board lighting is off, but if you drive up, they will help you because they are open despite the appearance. I am always polite and make sure to say please and thank you at every business I encounter. For some reason, this Arby's is one of those businesses that totally disregard any appreciation you show. I've intentionally said thank you at every opportunity I had during one visit, just to see if I could get the cashier at the window to acknowledge it even one time. I'm not saying thank you specifically to get a response, but when it is answered by complete silence every single time, its a but uncomfortable or even rude. At least make an effort and say "no problem" like millennial do nowadays. Haha. Moving on, I love their beef and cheddar, but they are absolutely hit or miss. Their shakes are nothing special, but at least their machine is usually working. I do love Arby's as a chain, but this location is undeserving of the name, in my...
Read moreFood was ok. But a manager came in while we were eating and started yelling at the staff so loudly that everyone in the establishment were looking at each other like, “What the heck is going on?” One other customer passed our table and we made eye contact as she said, “Well, I guess we all know, now…” It wasn’t just the way she said things or the fact that she was SO loud the entire restaurant could hear every word. It was also that she belittled and spoke down to the staff, saying things like “And for the love of god could you…. “ blah blah blah. Just awful. It was very rude and VERY unprofessional. Totally inappropriate. If you have to have a “come to Jesus” meeting with your team, it should never be done in front of customers like that. Complete lack of awareness. I felt bad for the employees and have little respect for managers who feel the need to tear people down in front of others and air dirty laundry in public. No wonder some of the reviews of this location are not great. The staff should be motivated not berated. Terrible manager. Their employees are probably demoralized on the regular. It was awkward...
