Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Garden City

This place is a hit and miss. Typically run by high schoolers seems like they are inexperienced at getting service times down. Most of their stuff is really good. You end up spending a lot on average between 2 people easily can spend more that 10 bucks for 2 items.

When the crowds come especially on those hot summer days and hot summer nights, better plan on waiting for at least 15 minutes. I would say a update to their POS system would help things greatly, including service times.

They usually have something different to try from time to time. Like the blizzard...

Went to the store at 925 pm to get a ice cream for my birthday. The sign on the door said they were open until 10pm but the doors were locked. The sign outside even said they were open. The hours sign said hours may vary upon winter weather conditions but the weather on 12282016 at 930 pm in Garden city KS was 36 degrees and clear. I even called the number and a worker answered the phone when they're apparently closed at 9 for "winter hours". I get that you want to get home early but maybe post your actual hours and switch the open sign to closed. Supremely...

I'm not a big sweets person so I've never been a fan of DQ. But my friends do enjoy it from time to time. But that's very rarely. However, I do like those frozen bars covered in chocolate. I hate chocolate so I just tear the outside off, weird I know. But the ice cream inside is great. I think I just like frozen things. So I always recommend those even if you don't like chocolate. The outside is easy to tear off, it just takes a while. And it rarely even leaves a dribble on the ice...
