KG’s African - American & Caribbean — Restaurant in Garden City

First experience with African food and it was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!

My wife ordered the Curry Goat with yellow rice and fried plantains. She was very pleased with everything about the dish. The flavor from the curry and the fat from goat cooked with the actual meat was amazing.

I ordered two orders of beef patties, not knowing that one order has three beef patties in it 🙌. Flavorful all the way around from the crust and the beef inside.

I also ordered the 10 piece chicken wing and I haven't had wings like that since I was in Germany in 2005! I've tried wings from Wing Stop (which are good), B-Dubs (which are decent), and KFC (which are alright)...but these wings, THESE WINGS ARE THE BEST ONES I'VE EVER HAD!

They were definitely prepared with Love and care. The sauce that they were in was spicy but also flavorful. It was a treat to have wings in a homemade sauce and to have extra sauce in the bottom. Not many places here in Michigan do that, but they do it here!!!

YOU HAVE TO GET THE WINGS HERE IF YOU ARE A TRUE TRUE TRUE FAN OF WINGS.

And don't forget the FIRE hot sauce that's off to the side. It is VERY HOT, but VERY VERY GOOD!

I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND GETTING...

First of all, the stench as you open the door is enough to reset your brain. I don’t know whatever type of incense they burnt there but was very nauseating. Do not go here if you value customer service, a lady at this place screamed at me and my disabled child so hard I was crying. Before running a business take some customer service classes because this just spoiled my whole day I am unable to go back to work after driving 30 minutes to try this place. She was screaming at us all the way from the kitchen just because my disabled kid pour a little bit of salt on table and was playing with, d place was literally empty so it’s not like he was troubling any other customers, and when I tried to talk back to her about his disabilities she kept screaming how he can destroy things and I’m not doing enough as a parent, whole time I was trying all my possible best to keep my child in check. I have never felt as embarrassed and insulted in my entertainment life. Don’t run a kids free business if you cannot entertain the site of kids, no drawings or activities to keep kids entertained and bc of a little salt this happened. I’m so pissed someone especially being a woman n mother herself will be so inconsiderate of a physically/mentally...

This place right here changed my life for the time I was eating their food! It's delicious and I loved it! this is what we ordered, Oxtails Stew and Dirty Rice, Jollof Rice, Curry Chicken with Yellow Rice, Neems (Chicken and Shrimp Egg Rolls), Fataya ( Beef Empanada) these were the best I ever had we also had Lamb Stew I forgot to get a picture of it but it was really good Both myself and my daughter agreed we will be back! The service was good pretty fast I guess we ordered so much and the appetizers kept us busy so we wasn't worried if things took awhile. The place is super clean, they have a buffet for 15.99 only on Sundays and I must try it soon. they are in a mini strip mall type thing we parked right in front of the door. Seems that they only use one half of the restaurant though but when we went it was only us and one other person there. They had carry outs coming in though. This place definitely needs to advertise more because they are very good the food is just exceptionally good. Now let me be fair, this is my first time ever at a African Restaurant.
