McDonald's — Restaurant in Garden City

They don’t even deserve one star. Tonight I went to the drive through to order my daughter a 6 piece chicken nugget kids meal. I Noticed on the screen where my food order was there was a $.90 charge and I was a little confused so I simply asked the woman what the charge was for and she explained that they didn’t have six piece Mighty kids meal anymore And I responded well the menu says for peace and right below it it says six piece and she began with an attitude saying well they don’t do six pieces anymore what they have to do is ring up a four piece And then they charge $.90 for an additional two nuggets and I replied back OK that’s just a little confusing because your menu says otherwise and she began arguing with me and I stated OK why are you arguing with me I was just asking and her response back was UGH BYE and I said back excuse me? And she never said anything so I drove out of line to walk inside to speak to a manager after waiting about 7 minutes for someone to acknowledge that I was standing there finally an employee walked up to me and asked can I help you and I said yes I need to speak with the manager and the employee responded back that was the manager you were talking to over the drive through speaker and I said that was the manager?!! The manager never came out to speak with me she was hiding in the back but they said her name is Keena. Needless to say corporate was notified immediately while I was still on the property and I was left with no food for my daughter or no explanation of why this disgusting manager treats customers like this especially customers that go to that specific McDonald’s location on a regular basis. Understaffed for a restaurant with such sales. This store is very busy in the summertime and is on the border of Horry and Georgetown counties, bringing in tourist and locales alike from both places. I ordered a double cheeseburger and large tea. Burger was not at all hot but the cheese was at least melted. The tea was refreshing and cold for a hot and humid day. The outdoor "feel like" temperature was over 100° and this restaurant doesn't have AC !! The employees are sweating and seemingly grumpy. I understand why but they should not have to work in such conditions. With profitable revenue that McDonald's cooperation, as a whole, brings in each year I am not understanding why the GM ( general manager ) is not held accountable for the BOH and FOH ? How come the AC has not worked in three years and the cooperation had not yet remedied the situation?? Not only the AC but staff as well. Three employees was taking a lunch break when the manager came and demanded they clock back in. After he heard their pleas to finish their break he said he was sorry but he was understaffed and was urgent they clock back in, now. He did not move his stance until All got up, one of which had just sat down with food and drink ( I know they paid for ), and tossed their visors back on to go back to work. With these conditions I can sympathize with the unapproachable attitudes the employees displayed whither between each other or to the consumers. Garden City Beach location at 5pm on Mon. March 6, 2023. A tall, thin black female manager with long braids was as nasty and rude as she could possibly be. I walked into the lobby to place an order to go. There were boxes of supplies everywhere even blocking off the ordering area so I place my order at the self-serve kiosk. While standing and waiting for my order, out of nowhere she comes at me screaming that the lobby was closed and to get out. I told her I was waiting for my order. She got huffy and glared at her employees for allowing me to place an order. Her bagged my food and tossed it at me and told me to leave. As I was leaving, another man came in and she started screaming at him to leave , that the lobby was closed. I would think if the lobby was closed youd put a sign on the door and lock it. Which was not the case. Im highly offended by her behavior and attitude towards a frequent customer and the other customers for that matter. UNACCEPTABLE!!
