What a killer concept and awesome addition to any neighborhood!

The mural on the wall caught my eye... Then there was the hip, chill music playing. What's this place??? There's a fire pit outside, lounge chairs, corn hole, picnic tables. Cool, I thought. At 9:30pm? In Boise? On the Bench?

My intrigue did not stop there. I entered this cool kid spot and realized it was an Ice Cream place. Right on. Not really my style but worth a look.

I entered Stils to find a happy, youthful staff, ready to serve and educate and scoop!

Call me old fashioned or out of the loop but my goodness; ice cream parlors have come a long way since I last checked; or at least this one has!

I chose to do a flight (that's right, a flight of ice cream, some of which even had booze in the them.... Mind. Blown.)

The Manhatten tasted like a Manhattan - and that's coming from a bartender! The Old Fashion tasted like an Old Fashion! And the schnozberries tasted like; okay, you get my point.

Bottom line: this place is rad! Hip. Cool. Fun for the family. Great for a tinder date. Whatever.

We have been to this location a few times. The ice cream is always amazing, and the location is great. We stopped by on a busy Friday night and the staff was handling the crowds well, and had a generally positive attitude. However, I am leaving thee stars due to the unhygienic actions of the staff. Hands were not washed, or gloved, while staff was seen running hands through hair, scratching under their shirt, or picking at their face. They would then proceed to serve the next customer. Additionally, the location of the ice cream tubs and the reach required by the staff seems to be leading to bare skin being rubbed against the “kitchen space”. When you walk up to this cute little spot, you immediately smell the waffle cones and the goodness and you know everything is going to be delightful.

The amazing and super friendly staff greet you with a smile and let you taste literally anything you want which is so nice and they also give great suggestions.

There are so many flavors, many of which are gluten free and they even have vegan options. And for those who are looking for a little boozy kick they have something for you too.
