My dog loves coming here, and there are always at least a few or sometime a couple dozen dogs. The park is kept clean, there is faucet water available and people keep the water pans full. Most everyone is good with poop patrol, so this is always a good place for my furpal. It's about two acres, has trees and a few cute doggie things- fire hydrant, big tubes, trees and tall cyclone fence. Great place! Update: It's Nov. 2021, and much has changed at the Morris Hill dog park the past couple years, all for the better!
First: maintenance crews divided and fenced 1/3 of the acreage for small and timid dogs. This is awesome for people who fear their smaller pets could be harmed by large dogs or breeds that are more aggressive.
They have added many new fire hydrants, some exercise equipment: teeter-totter; rings to jump through; elevated boardwalks; etc., and new benches for owners and handlers. The grounds are kept clean, typically dog owners clean up after their pets, but what is missed has been seen to by grounds maintenance. I am always glad I can allow my dogs this safe and clean place to play with other dogs.
Note: The watering station gets shut down in Oct/Nov, so remember to bring water for your pet after they play hard. Usually by March it is...

The new rubber ground cover is much softer (thus the purpose), but rubber soled shoes, sandals, etc, don't slip when coming off the equipment. When my daughter came down from the slide ladder, her rubber shoe gripped on the rubber mat, and because there was no slippage, she snapped her leg between the ankle and knee. 😵💫🤕😭 Kudos to Boise Fire Dept for being there within minutes and to the ambulance crew that took her to the hospital. She's got steel rods, screws, and plates in...
Read moreMy dog and I visited the dog park here. It is a nicely kept up in dog park, with Nice Landscaping, and even some agility course items. The other people and dogs were friendly at the park. There was a covered area with tables that you could sit at and relax while the doggos play. I would have given this park for stars instead of three, but there is no running water to fill the dogs bowls with. In fact, it looks like people had been bringing in gallons of water and then leaving them so there was a pile of empty water gallons but nothing with which to give the dogs drinks. Hence,...
