Primal Coffee in Boise has such a good vibe. Sometimes I get a bit overexcited about a good vibing establishment and forget to enjoy BEING there and really soaking it in. The little discoveries drew my attention away from being fully present. Everyone was so Welcoming and friendly. My breakfast sandwich was so good. My matcha latte was divine. Their homemade oat milk sweetener -what?! Crazy good.! The coffee table is a grandfather drum! The guitars on the walls are for sale and for playing (ask the owner.).

This is the best oat milk latte in town. They make their own, in-house oat milk, so it's not filler and oils and does not upset my stomach. The baristas are knowledgeable and friendly. They have gf quick bread and it was good and had just a hint of cinnamon. It is easy to miss this little spot, tucked away in a neighborhood, but you do yourself a disservice if you don't give them a try. They have about 20 seats inside and a few more out the back if you want to sit outside.

Stopped in for the first time today and was warmly and authentically greeted by their graceful baristas. Easy conversation- nothing pretentious about this shop which seems hard to find these days. I had their dairy-free signature Primal latte and it was purrrrfect. It was actually hot enough to where it would stay hot for at least 20 minutes and the quality of the espresso was superb 😘 I guess the rumor about this shop is true- best cup of coffee in town.

Primal Coffee is a truly special place-- the best coffee shop I've been to in Boise, if not one of the best coffee shops period.

-Service is excellent. There's not one bad employee-- forgive me for not knowing everyone's name. Amanda in particular knew my name and order after my fourth time in, and always makes sure to check in. Austin, the owner, works there frequently, which shows a real care for his business, employees, and customers. -drinks are delicious! I recommend the primal coffee or the chai. And it's a real gingery chai, instead of the sugary stuff most places serve. -great breakfast food. The breakfast sandwich on the ham and swiss croissant is my favorite, but they also have avocado toast and other bread options. -it turns into a kava joint after hours, making it a great alternative to bars after 5pm.

Do yourself a favor and come through. The earlier the better-- it has, quite deservedly, become a...

Primal is a wonderful change of pace and scenery in the Boise coffee scene. Austin has a natural sense of familiarity and community space. He’s not trying, that’s just the way it is. There’s stringed instruments for sale and all handmade ceramics lining every surface- which he uses and sells. I personally enjoy the entire spectrum of coffee roasts and find something to truly enjoy in all varieties. Primal keeps it defiantly dark, which makes me feel like I’m camping or out in the woods on a cozy morning. They also host a dank and filling lil breakfast sandwich that really makes me want to say ā€œsee, it’s not that fuggin hard to do, Boise!ā€ And it’s affordable. It can be done, and with minimal space! It’s great here. Highly recommend if you want a comfortable atmosphere and friendly— BONUS: it’s so much quieter than so many coffee shops that you can actually hear yourself think. I love it. Two big thumbs...

I waited 25 minutes for a breakfast sandwich and ended up leaving without it because this is crazy wait time and I was already late for work. The lady at the kitchen told me it’s going to take 5-10 more minutes to make and and it’s coming right up. After 10 minutes she brought a sandwich to another customer. This is absolutely insane, I don’t understand why you have to lie and make a customer wait extra time at 8am on a Thursday, you would think it’s obvious people need to get to work. I left without no refund as I didn’t have time to figure all this nonsense out, and I also left a tip in the beginning. I would like an owner to contact me or leave their contact info under this comment so I can get my refund for food I never got and a tip this place...
