Check your bill for overcharges before you pay. I ordered the $9.99 Beef Kabob Koobideh. When you pay, they don't show the breakdown on the customer facing screen. The final total came out to be $11.30 (Receipt Attached). Before I paid, I let the cashier know it seems a bit high, because nowhere is tax over 10%, since $11 something means tax was over $1 on a $10 item. The cashier made a vague explanation that it is due to high taxes in the area. I was traveling so maybe this area did in fact have over 10% tax, so I paid. Then when I printed the full receipt, I saw they overcharged the $9.99 item as $10.39. I complained to the cashier but she was very stubborn and then eventually she said there's nothing she can do because "that's the price in the system". I let it go because it's only a few cents. Then the lady went to the back and likely spoke to the owner or something, because when she came back out, she took some coins out of the tip jar, and slammed them onto the table where I was waiting for my food. Very rude! This experience is why I am giving a 1 star rating on the Service.
Thankfully the food itself was very tasty, and even with the overcharge, is a good price nowadays. It's just a pity they have such a rude cashier on the front lines. I don't know if the overcharge was a mistake in the system, or if the restaurant is systemically trying to overcharge people a little bit to make more profit or not. I will never know, but based on my interaction, I am leaning towards to latter.
Also Google Maps says they close at 10pm but when I arrived at 8:40pm and wanted to dine in, she did not let me because they said they will close at 9pm. I think she just wanted to close early because there's no customers, and it's a good excuse to leave work earlier. I had no choice but to...
Read moreTHE best kabobs I have ever eaten. Literally the best. I've had homemade kabobs that didn't hold a candle to Papa's kabobs. They're so nice too, like we got there at 8:15 and were a little worried because we knew they closed at 9 but they were both so welcoming and kind. They invited us to sit and eat, Papa himself told us not to rush and take our time.
As far as the food, it's an A+++. We had the lamb chops, the chicken kabob, the shish kabob (beef cubes), and the koobideh (ground beef). Oh, my gosh. All the meat was super tender and flavorful. The spices don't overpower the meat (which is how you know they use good quality meat) but they enhance the flavor of the meat. Everything comes with a grilled tomato, a grilled jalapeño, and two pitas. We also had the hummus and the yogurt with dill and cucumber, which are homemade and better than any store bought hummus. Actually, everything here is homemade and you can absolutely tell the difference.
Two days later, we went again and had the ground turkey (so good) and the ground chicken (delicious). I had the shish kabob again because yummy.
Also, the prices were super reasonable, it ended up being about 20 bucks per person which is not bad at all, especially considering how good the quality of food was. We were stuffed full but it's all healthy food so we felt good.
We're definitely coming back and if you're reading this, you should try it out, too. Support small business and eat delicious food made by a man who clearly cooks with love? It's...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Papa's for lunch today and I must say, it was an experience beyond expectations. From the moment I stepped in, I felt a warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for what turned out to be a fantastic culinary journey.
The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the beef kabob. The flavors were an absolute delight to my taste buds. The beef kabob kobideh was cooked to perfection and paired wonderfully with the grilled tomatoes and rice. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness.
One thing that truly stood out was the hospitality of the owner, a wonderful Persian gentleman. His professionalism and welcoming nature enhanced my dining experience. I opted for a to-go order, and to my surprise, he graciously included not one, but three plates. There was the main plate with the beef kabob kobideh and pita bread, another with flavorful rice, and an additional plate as a courtesy with the most delectable Tahdig (Persian fried rice) and more grilled tomatoes. The quality and taste were exceptional, reminding me of the kabobs my dad makes at home. It felt like a homemade culinary experience.
I was genuinely impressed by the owner's thoughtfulness and the amazing flavors offered. This visit has left a lasting impression, and I am already looking forward to returning to Papa's Kabob. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this place to fellow food enthusiasts. Thank you so much for your outstanding service and unforgettable...
