Every time I visit Orange County, I always try to have time to eat here at least once. This time in October 2025, I took my sister here to try some appetizers that were my favorites, seared tuna salad, the beef salad and the crab clear noodles, we ordered 2 of these since my sister liked it a lot. One thing about this place is the food always consistent, always tasty and the same delicious taste. The service here is always attentive and fast. The prices are still reasonable. The restaurant is always clean and pleasant looking.
We took the kids to Disneyland in Anaheim, it's been a long time since we've been in Orange County so we had to try one of the talked about restaurant in OC, the Brodard Chateau. We found the place right away, it sat by itself on a parking lot, the outside looked nice, like a chateau. The place is clean and the reception area has high ceiling, nice and bright. We ordered the appetizers, they recommended the wagyu beef salad and we tried it, it wasn't that tender but extremely tasty due to the dressing. We would prefer the regular beef salad, cheaper and still tasty and tender. The calamari was excellent although not crispy as we expected, we ordered 2 for everyone to have more. The service was extremely fast and efficient, very attentive servers. It had been a long drive from the Bay Area to OC, everyone was tired and hungry, the place was relaxing and the food was good so we loved it. One of my nieces doesn't eat meat, so she ordered the pineapple shrimp fried rice which was excellent. My daughter was tired so she ordered pho to have some soup and it tasted well, she liked it. My other niece ordered the seafood pho which was good, not to die for. My wife got the fish, I didn't know why, we could cook fish at home, it was dried and eatable but nothing to scream for. I really liked my bo luc lac, very tasty and tender. Over all, this place has good food, the prices are amazingly inexpensive compared to prices in the Bay Area, where the restaurants are mediocre and the prices are outrageous. The service here is excellent and we would come back here next time...

I would like to file a formal complaint about the service my family and I received at your restaurant yesterday afternoon. I brought a party of 11 family members to dine there for lunch. Unfortunately, we experienced extremely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from both the hostess outside and the servers inside.
I had made a reservation for 1:30 PM, as my family flew in from out of state. However, they arrived early, so I approached a young woman with long, purple-pinkish hair to ask if we could be seated a bit earlier. Her response was dismissive and disrespectful. My husband then entered and tried to politely ask again, hoping for some understanding, but was met with a cold and embarrassing attitude in front of our guests.
Additionally, our order was taken incorrectly — we asked for honey ginger tea and were instead given chrysanthemum tea. No one offered an apology for the mistake. Instead, we were treated as though it was our fault.
I have been coming to your restaurant for many years and have always enjoyed the hu tieu bo kho here. But when I asked about it yesterday, I was told — with a dismissive tone — that such a dish wasn’t served there, as if I had confused it with another place. This was insulting, especially considering how often my family and I dine at your restaurant and recommend it to friends and guests.
What upset me most was the complete lack of basic courtesy — not even a single apology was offered for the poor service and mistakes. This is not the standard one expects from a Vietnamese restaurant considered to be among the more upscale options.
I am very disappointed and hope to receive a proper response regarding this matter. Such treatment is unacceptable, and I believe it’s important that it...
Read moreWe made a reservation for 2 on Thursday dinner. It wasn't too busy when we sat down but tables rapidly got filled up. The ambiance is a family-friendly diner vibe. The restaurant was accomodating to large parties.
*Grilled pork spring rolls (5/5) Oh my oh my! The grilled pork was super flavorful and the crunchiness from the crispy roll and veggies was just perfection. The special sauce was good but I had to add the spicy sauce with jalapeños to give the extra kick.
*Grilled shrimp spring rolls (4.5/5) The overall texture was very similar to the grilled pork spring roll but the shrimp lacked the bursting flavor that the pork had. It was still very yummy!
*Vietnamese crepe (3/5) The crepe was more like an omelet. It was my least favorite as it lacked flavor. It also didn't have much shrimp, mushroom, and pork than I expected. BUT the portion was huge and had lots of bean sprouts inside the egg/rice flour. I ate it with the spicy sauce with jalapeños to add some flavor to the blandness.
*Traditional chicken curry (4.5/5) This was surprisingly so good. I've never had Vietnamese curry before and thought it'd be similar to Thai curry. But it was nothing like it. It didn't have coconut milk and was more soupy. The curry is also served with baguette. You can choose to have rice instead but we got baguette. Dipping the baguette in the soup tasted more like French onion soup. The chicken was super tender and very flavorful. The soup was tiny bit salty by itself but with baguette, it was perfect.
*Ché (4.5/5) Ché had lots of beans and jellies. It wasn't too sweet and I loved it! I wished more coconut milk was there though but that's my personal preference.
Overall, every food we ordered was delicious! Service was also fast and friendly. 100% I...
