I recently had dinner at bb.q Chicken Garden Grove with some of my colleagues. We were looking for a new place to try out and we stumbled upon this chicken shop. The restaurant is located in a quiet plaza with plenty of parking. The interior is spacious and modern, with a big screen theater size tv on the wall for viewing. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, with music playing and people chatting.
We ordered a variety of chicken dishes. The chicken was okie, not bad. It was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. However, some of the flavors were not available, which was a bummer.
The good thing was that they had my kind of beer, Elysian Space Dust IPA. It was cold and refreshing, and went well with the chicken. They also had other beers and drinks, such as soju, wine, and soda. The service was friendly and fast, and the prices were reasonable.
Overall, it was a nice place to hang out with some good company, but not a place I would go out of my way to visit again. The chicken was decent, but not outstanding. The selection of flavors was limited, and some of them were too sweet for my taste. The TV was a nice touch. If you are looking for a casual and cozy spot to watch a game and enjoy some fried chicken, this might be a good...
Read moreVery good. We were going to great wolf lodge for a fun family trip in the waterpark. And our kids wanted korean fried chicken.
Easy parking ice cold AC inside the dining area nice ambience, Kpop playing on the big big screen
Food: Big Plus: the Wings are LARGE. Not skimpy and very meaty.
We got wings . secret sauce: their sweet n spicy, sticky. pretty good. A little too sweet for me. but still very good and crispy
Then a new soy garlic with actual toasted garlic sprinkled on the outside. VERY good. the crunch + aroma of the garlic was really yummy.
French Fries yum. Duk Bok Ki. Yum . a little too sugary for my taste, but still decent.
We also got the chicken carbonara. It was not spicy at all. I was expecting buldak pink (but that my expectation, not a fault of the restaurant)
If you plan on getting everything you and your kids wants, wings + apps, expect to spend about $20 to $25 per person , especially if you plan on getting paid drinks on top of ice water.
the one server working the front was very good. Friendly and polite.
We had some leftovers, that we heated up at great wolf after a nice day of swimming.

Read moreThe servers were very nice but inattentive, we had to go to them at the counter multiple times with things we needed. I assume they were busy or prepping other stuff for the day or something.
The prices are too high imo, $16 for 8 pieces is too much, basically $2 per piece.
The taste and texture and crispiness is very good!
Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning because you can only get one flavor for your chicken, and smallest size they have is 8 pieces. Here's my recommendation to improve the experience:
I've never been here before, so I wanted to try a lot of flavors. There is no option to try multiple flavors. So I figured I'll just have multiple small orders with different flavors... But the smallest size is 8 huge pieces!! I can't even finish one order of that size. I recommend adding a "sampler" option to the menu that lets you choose 3 or 4 flavors, OR add a smaller size option like 4 wings. If you do that...
