McDonald's — Restaurant in Garden Grove

A drive thru order should not take more than 45 minutes to be completed. We came in tonight for a quick late evening meal after work plus grabbing some breakfast for tomorrow. When we pulled up to the second window we were asked to pull up to the waiting spot which is reasonable for the amount of food we ordered. 10 mins pass and other drivers asked to be in the wait area come and go as we still sit there waiting. After 30 mins your employees come to find out that they haven't even made our meal. The excuse was that it takes a long time to make egg McMuffins. Even if they had to reheat the grill it shouldn't have taken over 45 minutes to make 6 egg muffins, nuggets, fries, and a burger. After this whole wait we were told the manager on duty would be bringing us out our food and apologizing. However we got the same employee who seemed to have no idea what was going on tonight and the manager couldn't have been bothered to come out, but sent his employee out to be a middle man and expect that just an extra order of fries was really correct compensation for a 45 minute wait and not even a real apology of any sort. I haven't been to McDonalds in a while. The value has not been there for a while.

However, it's 1AM and I live literally right across the street from this location. My wife heads out and gets a coke and a large fry. Just to be clear, it was literally only those 2 things. She comes back and the fries are cold and bland. Not only that, I asked for a large and they basically gave me the serving size of a small in a large container.

Whats the point in going to you guys, if you can't even get a simple order right. You're overpriced, you lack basic customer service, and you can't get orders filled properly or fresh for that matter.

I keep trying to want to go here or literally any McDonalds for the convenience. It just ends up a huge disappointment every time. This was just the last straw. If I could rate 0 stars, I would.

My suggestion, go to Angelo's down the block. It's 1-2 minutes away and they have a combo special. You could end up with a bacon, cheese, chargrilled burger with fries and a drink at a real restaurant for about $15. Good portions, competitive pricing, still convenient, and just overall a reliable operation. I dont have to worry about going in and hoping the business is having a good day. Ok so i like McDonalds I'm not going to lie. Sometimes i just need a vanilla milkshake and a little cheeseburger. But my visit here today has me not wanting to come back anytime soon. These stupid kiosks they have added are difficult to work so they have an employee stand there and take your order and input it in the kiosk for you. I had walked in and there was one person ordering and i was next. I was there getting my stupid shake and burger because i was having a crummy day and was very sad and fighting tears. Didn't want to interact with anyone just wanted to order and go sit by myself. But instead the manger.... Well i assume the super loud woman telling two employees how to fake sincerity when apologizing to customers for mistakes they make and then laughing that they have us beliving they are sorry. The other guy and i were like 3 feet away from them. Then this other employee asks me if she can help me over at ths kiosk and i say no but they maks it clear thats how i have to order. And while I'm telling an employee whatto order for me on the self serve kiosk the next person after me was ordering and i had get back I line now I'm after them waiting to pay.
