El Ranchero Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Garland

Awful experience. This was my first tine coming here with my boyfriend and our friend. I ordered the pork torta and ordered it with NO tomatoes because I’m allergic. My mouth and tongue become swollen if I do eat them. When the waitress brought my food, it had tomatoes, so I sent it back. It was annoying,but I decided to wait. I timed how long it would take for the sandwich to come back and it came back in under two minutes. I have worked in several kitchens and know for a fact that they did not remake the sandwich, but instead just picked he tomatoes off. Not okay for someone who has an ALLERGY. When I confronted our server about it she proceeded to lie and say yes they did remake it. So I asked her if it took them 1:30 minutes to make it again? And of course she couldn’t answer me, so she took it back so they could remake it. The torta was fine after that. When we asked for our checks, the waitress came and brought us and our friend the change and on my friends change was a giant piece of GUM. Absolutely disgusting. We told her about it and she proceed to ask what she wanted us to do about it. That is very wrong. We asked for the manager and he proceeded to argue with my friend putting the blame on us instead of on the waitress! The manager agreed to discount our torta and when the waitress brought us the change she threw it on the table! Worst restaurant...

Had came here before and place was great Came back today after so long and it was just bad.. okay food was alright but the service oh lord. For starters we came in and the lady was picking up chairs I asked if they were closed and she said no (well then that’s odd) so we sat and started good but unfortunately the girl only came to get our full order, to drop it off and to take the tab. We needed refills napkins limes tortillas and an extra silverware and never got none of the above she was too busy with a guy over at a single booth and over with the guys at the bar Which let me tell you they were already drunk. She even made a comment about how one left with out paying and as for how long it took her to come check up on us it was so easy to walk out and doing the same. I over heard one of the guys complain about something and the way she responded back wether she knows him or not just did not look good for the restaurant. I haven't been here in years but came with my partner for a very late lunch (or very early dinner). It was just as amazing as I remember when I would come here for lunch a few years ago. My partner got the super torta and I got the taco salad with pastor. The portions were very generous and we both ended up taking home half our meal. The service was good but a little slow as there was only one waitress working when we were there.

I've only been to this place during the day but they have multiple signs that mention karaoke on the weekends and I could imagine this place would be packed on a Saturday night with a lively crowd. I remember the margaritas being good and strong here, but I didn't have on on my most recent visit. I would recommend you try this place out if you're looking to spend...
