I give the food 4 stars and the sound levels inside the restaurant 0 star because it was too loud for me.
it was hard to enjoy the food because of loud sounds from 2 competing sources - loud music from a stereo and sounds from the TV. This scenario created an unpleasant dining experience. To make matters worse, sounds from a blender or food processor drowned the sounds from the stereo music and TV.
While the stereo music was playing and TV on, I checked the sound levels indoors using the Decibel Pro X on my phone. The average sound level in there was 67.2 dBA which is within the City of Garland's guidelines. But it is still way above my threshold.
I came to El Sabroso Taqueria feeling fine. While dining there, the competing sources of sounds and high noise levels hurt my ears and caused headache. After leaving the restaurant, my ears and head were in pain for several hours.
