Texas 2024: Destination #27 I finally got a chance to try their well known thin crispy bánh xèo. It's the best bánh xèo from a restaurant I have tasted.

All the restaurants I have tried in Florida make it with a thick batter drenched and saturated in oil.

I've been wanting to try the Banh Xeo for a year!!! But I usually get off work late so by the time I try to order it they've already closed. Good thing on sundays they open slightly later so I was able to order 1 to go and it was delicious! It's slightly more expensive than Bistro B's, like by $1-2, but the difference in the price is totally worth it! I find that their banh Xeo isn't as oily and still filled with delicious goodness. Literally I was staying away from eating banh Xeo for a while cause so many places made it so oily that it would give me stomach aches, but thank goodness la xanh's isn't oily whatsoever! My favorite thing about this place is their veggies. They are not stingy at all and give bundles of veggies with their banh xeo. You can tell they thoroughly clean their veggies and only serve fresh ones. Their banh xeo is a must because it’s so huge and crispy. I love coming here for their broth dishes and pandan waffles too!
