My first Golden Chick. I didn't want to eat at this chain for years, due to some reason that escapes me today. This location opened up near us and my wife talked me into it. I did not have the best first, second or even third experience, but I pressed on because the chicken is so good. The first time, I called in to find out if this location delivered (some do). I was greeted by some young man, when I asked if this location delivered I was told "NO, I done told you; we do not deliver. Stop calling!". I'm adult to know this young man did not grasp the concept that I may be an entirely different person that the one who has so clearly been bothering him; so I let it go and it has been a funny story for my family. Round two. We decided later that week to drive by and pick up dinner, this would be my first time actually eating here. We pulled up to the drive thru and we were greeted by a confused, slower(not dumb, think, Spicoli from Fast Times) and LOUD(the speaker was turned way up) "dude". After repeating the first item several time and breaking it down into smaller parts, I figured out we needed to speak simply and slowly. We painfully ordered for the whole car and pulled out of the drive thru. I asked my wife if they at least got the food right, and she checked; everything was in order. She then popped a roll into my mouth, rolls that felt were redundant and not needed while ordering in the drive thru, and I was hooked. We got home where I had the chicken and fried with gravy, all was forgiven. The third time we went here the POS system was down and they had to do everything by hand. My wife likes to order substitutions, this complicated things to the point of breaking down an already broken system even further. We struggled to get an order in that day, but we did and the chicken was still amazing. I am of the opinion that all these opening hiccups are just someones elaborate plan to keep more of this amazing chicken form themselves. No matter how bad or misguided the service got, the chicken was...
Read moreWent to get some dinner. A very simple order. 2 piece dinner with a breast and a wing. 4 piece tender combo. The 4 piece was right but the 2 piece came with a thigh and a drumstick. The receipt even stated a breast and a wing. How do you read breast and wing and then put a thigh and a drumstick in the order? It isn't that hard because they don't even sound the same. Chicken breast sounds nothing like thigh. Wing sounds nothing like drumstick at all. Disappointing dinner for Dad. Check your orders because a basic fundamental skill like reading comprehension is too much to ask. At least the corn nuggets were correct.
I will not be filling out the "comment form" due to all of the personal information you ask for. That's ridiculous. My first and last name, my address, and my phone number? Absolutely not. I would go speak to the manager of the store, but she is the problem. I've had issues with her before and she just gets an attitude. I just won't go back to golden chick at all. Cane's is where I will be going from now on. Never had an...
Read moreFirst of all, I need to clarify that this Golden Chick has the most consistent taste of all the GCs around here. If you just care about the food, go here. Now, I like this place, I am a patron, I go here almost weekly for lunch since the food is good and consistent. However, sometimes, there is the young Mexican lady cashier that treat the guests like they are inferior. She looks at you with disdain eyes or not at all, she asks question using the least words but with the most attitude and she never ever say a simple thank you or smile. She also seems racist since she acts more preferable toward other Hispanic people. The repeated horrible experience I have with the cashier is why even though I frequent this place, I give it a 2 stars. If the manager read this, just let someone else be at the front, I am guarantee your customers will appreciate it. The other cahiers, especially the older Mexican lady, is nicer, they smile and treat you like actual customers and equal...
