Nena's — Restaurant in Garland

Very weird experience. We weren’t greeted when we came in nor seated. It was extremely awkward. There was one employee sleeping, and 2 others barely doing anything. Also, I found it alarming how there’s a sign in the restroom saying to not throw up in the sink. How many times have people thrown up in your restaurant for you to have that sign? The place was empty and only one gentleman eating alone. There was no music so we didn’t feel comfortable even talking to each other because it was so quiet and uncomfortable they should’ve at least had some music but nothing. The food was okay but we spent almost $40 on a very unpleasant experience it was sooooo...

The price is never the price. They advertise prices on the wall but when you pay, the price has gone up and they haven't updated the menus. The items get pricier on the menu every month or so. A menudo has raised its price 3-4 times within the year. If you ask for extra chips n salsa while you are dining in the restaurant, be ready to be charged extra for that, too. This place really does have the best menudo, they’re tortillas also taste and look homemade and the cooking reminds me of home, I didn’t think it was a big deal but i felt it took a little long considering my order but overall this place is good and would recommend. The only reason I’m giving Nena’s 4 stars is because my order was to go and when I got home flour tortillas were missing, I don’t live far so I called back and they had some ready for me...
