Went to this new OG since it's closer to my house. Olive Garden is my wife's favorite place. We go for almost every holiday plus her birthday. Big mistake coming to this one so soon. It's new and in my opinion not ready to do business. Food was not good. Wife and I always get the same dish. Cheese ravioli with alfredo sauce and add chicken. Normally, best dish ever. This place, barely any alfredo sauce even though it's an upcharge to change sauces, chicken was bland, ravioli over cooked and a bit tough. Now, as if that wasn't bad enough, let's talk about service. Greeted quickly and welcoming. There was 5 1/3 of us. Newborn baby is the 1/3rd. Got a table quickly. Server came by promptly and greeted us then went downhill from there. Took a bit for her to come back. Once she did, she got drink orders. Got our drinks fairly quickly, except for one. That was still being made. Gave our food orders. Fairly simple, our 2 ravioli dishes, 2 alfredo dishes and last one was soup and salad. Our salad and breadsticks came. One person getting low on drink so asked for a refill. Then came food, except missing the soup. They said it's coming. Still no refill. Us 4 with food got halfway through the meal before she came back. Asked where the soup was. She acted like it was someone else's fault that they didn't bring it. Very apologetic. Said she'll bring more salad and get the soup. Still no refill btw. At this time everone needed refills so we told her then. Us 4 with food just about finished eating, when the soup, salad and refills came. Finally last person gets to eat. Now we are all sitting there waiting for this person to eat. Remember, it was soup and salad so at this point all this person had was first plate of salad. So naturally they'd want another soup and more salad. Ordered another bowl of soup, which came somewhat quick but at this point we were done, mad, thirsty and ready to go. They ate a little of the soup and we were ready to go. Remember, we had a newborn with us also. Total experience was horrible and took almost 2 hours. I don't understand how an establishment as expensive as this place is would be okay with subpar food and service. We will not return here. We will continue to drive more than 30 minutes away to the normal one we go to even though this one is 15 minutes or less from us. If anyone took time to read this til the end, don't go here. Too much money for horrible service and food. I'd rather...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe asked our server (Jose) if they had a full bar. Do you have shots? Mixed drinks? Astoundingly, he said he didn't know. I got up, found the bar, and interacted with the bartender to find out what I wanted to know.
I ordered soup and salad. The salad had barely any dressing. The Zuppa Toscana was watery, low in flavor, and contained little sausage or anything else. It was not at all like what I've had at other Olive Garden locations.
My wife ordered Chicken & Gnocchi soup and Angel Hair pasta with olive oil and shrimp. The soup didn't arrive with my salad as requested. We finally inquired (with another server). About 5 minutes later her appetizer soup arrived with her entree. Her special pasta order was accommodated but needed more olive oil. The shrimp was fine.
I'll pass on returning to this location. The food and service is not of adequate value.
EDIT: I just learned that this location opened very recently, perhaps in the previous few weeks prior to my visit. Apparently the manager needs to invest more into training the FOH and BOH people as well as pay attention to the quality of the food coming out of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHIS IS A MUST SEE in person type of experience. This is a new construction like no other 𤯠Olive Garden that is located Garland,Tx!!! The address for this place is 13771 LBJ Freeway, 75041. The General Manager is Amanda Hathaway, she comes out to greet each and every guest after they are seated. She was AMAZING and very knowledgeable and the restaurants history and will address any concerns you may have. Very friendly and Courteous wait staff, it has a BEAUTIFULLY relaxed ambience feel to it, and massive space inside. The food was delicious, more than enough to take home at a great price with drinks š¹ blended to perfection. Once you arrive you have more than enough room to park in or around the establishment, because of the connecting parking lotsš from other restaurants near by. This is really a peaceful and delightful place to visit with the family after Church, once you get off of work or if you just need a little me time. Hands down this is my new go to place to enjoy a great meal at, if decide to frequent to her Gia sent you and make a new friend in the DFW. Hope to see you...
