Red Crab-Juicy Seafood — Restaurant in Garland

Me and my partner went here last night to eat and let’s just say. . NEVER again. I always tip and last night I left nothing. We had a 30min wait, only to get in, be seated and have no one wait on us for like another 30min (normally drinks are ordered when one sits down but yeah, NO). Then we ordered drinks, appetizer and our food at once since we had more than enough time to decide. The waiter was every where at one time, literally, the bar, chatting with her favorite people who came in, the kitchen and beyond. I’m not sure if it was just a slow night or help was lacked, but they should’ve just said that. She never apologized about being late to our table. The drinks were waaaay too strong for no reason and the food? Our steamed oysters were OVERCOOKED. We both had the Low Country Boil and it was over and undercooked and had waaay too much seasoning; it was salty. Considering I didn’t have the energy anyways and was hungry and had to keep waiting on a waiter I did not complain because honestly? What would that have done? I just will never spend my coins here again! Like EVER! We woke up to food poising; yay us! I should’ve went with my first mind and complained like I knew to! I came here Thursday January 19 around 1pm and I had the worst service ever. Lady at the front desk seated me and told me the waiter would come take my order. After about ten minutes she finally came after the lady at the front had to come back and get my drink order. When she gave me my drink it had no lid and no taste to the sweet tea. I asked her do they not have lids she told me yes but they were not close to where the drinks were so she didn't bring me one. That was strike 1. I changed the sweet tea for water and it had hair floating in it and returned it also. When my waiter came she for sure did not want to be there by her attitude and body language. I still proceeded to order. She quickly walked off before I was done ordering which was very rude as I tried to call her back she acted as if she did not here me. I grabbed my purse and keys and politely left. I have visited this place dozens of times and never experienced this. They were both definitely new because I never seen them there before. They also did not look very clean or sanitary. The front desk lady had an odor that was very potent and noticable when walking off also alot of sores on her arm which were exposed. Well I’ve never had an issue with any Red Crabs thus far as I frequent the ones in Texas often because the food is typically great. This past Friday I order the Thursday special and ask the person taking my order if the special came with egg and sausage and they let me know it did. I was disappointed to see that the boil did NOT come with eggs and sausage when I got home. I called it in and the lady over the phone simply wasn’t helpful and reassured me the egg and sausage did not come with the special I order but let me know she would speak to her manager only to return to the phone saying the special I ordered did not come with eggs and sausage once again. The issue was unresolved and I asked her that whoever I spoke on the phone with the night order may need to be retrained because she is giving out false information about the specials.

This is not how you properly resolve issues with guests. I wasn’t particularly looking for a meal replacement but maybe just to get sausage and egg added to my order next time on the house? Something that made sense because I was ill informed but nothing was provided and it was quite frustrating being told the same thing over and over again my the lady...
