Every time I'm in Dallas, I have to visit Quoc Bao Bakery — their banh mi are absolutely delicious. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend it!
We ordered the Rolled Ham Sub, Meatball Sub, Grilled Chicken Sub, BBQ Sub, Grilled Chicken & Meatball Sub, and BBQ Pork & Meatball Sub.
Before going into details, everything (with the exception of Grilled Chicken Sub) was absolutely delicious. The only thing that would make Quoc Bao Bakery better would be to have crispier sandwiches.
The Rolled Ham Sub may look and be simple, but it is absolutely delicious. You should get the Rolled Ham Sub if you like it clean, simple, and tasty.
The Meatball Sub is one of my favorites — anywhere I go, I tend to get it. If you enjoy a juicy sandwich with meatballs, this is definitely something you should go for. It's tasty, juicy, and great!
The Grilled Chicken Sub was definitely one of my least favorites. Don't get me wrong — it was tasty, but it wasn't delicious as the others. It was fairly dry, and there weren't enough condiments inside. However, if you love chicken, this is something you may want to try.
Oh, the BBQ Sub — this is my all-time favorite. It's tasty, juicy, and flavorful. It's one of the few things on the menu I always order. Even if you don't like BBQ, you should definitely try their BBQ sub — it's juicy and not overwhelming.
If you'd like to try the Grilled Chicken Sub but don't want to commit to only a Grilled Chicken Sub, try out their Grilled Chicken & Meatball Sub. As stated earlier, the Grilled Chicken Sub was a bit dry, but with the combination of Meatball Sub and Grilled Chicken Sub, the sandwich becomes a perfect blend.
The BEST sandwich you can order is the BBQ Pork & Meatball Sub — both are absolutely delicious and a combination of the two makes the best sandwich. It's juicy and tasty!

Read moreCurrent holder of the title “The Best Banh Mi I’ve ever had”. This place is nuts good, and the pricing is ludicrous. We got 4 to try out, which comes to under $14. About the food — being a bakery, of course they have good bread, but this bread is PERFECT. They definitely make their own Mayo here — it’s yellow and about as thick as cool butter. Orders of magnitude better than the spread on any other Banh mi I’ve had, and they have phenomenal patè to go with it. We got a #3 (roast chicken), #4 (bbq / char siu), #5 (shredded pork) and #10 (roast pork). The #10 and #3 probably travelled the best, being relatively dry. The #4 and # 5 got fairly soggy before we could eat them, but they were still absolutely wonderful.
It took us 40 minutes to get our sandwiches by the way — they were quite busy. We ordered, they told us the wait time, and then walked a few blocks to a HUGE Vietnamese grocery store and explored it while we waited. I mention it here because that store is difficult or impossible to find on Google maps and was a lovely way to pass the time.
There is no seating in the place or anywhere within walking distance of it, so we did have to drive it somewhere. We tried to go back and tell them that their food had changed our lives, but they were too busy for us to do so. I hope we get to visit the Dallas area again so we can go back to this place, it was the highlight...
Read moreThis is a great gem! It is an order, pick up, and go establishment. The menu is simple, you pick which sandwich you want. For credit cards, min amount is $5. They have great prices and great flavors. I love the fresh baked bread smell that hits you when you walk in. The young lady that takes your order is very sweet and friendly. There is also a small fridge where you can pick up puddings/custards, cups full of different sweet jellies which they add the liquid and ice when you order (the one with the mung beans and paste and jellies is my fave! The Vietnamese coffee is strong, if you want it sweeter ask for extra condensed milk or the sugar syrup. Their Banh Mi's are amazing! You cannot go wrong with any of them you choose. If they don't ask if you want the veggies inside or outside the sandwich then you can request it. I suggest you eat it freshly made because that's when it's best. If you let it sit for several hours then all the juices from the meats, veggies, pate soak into the middle of the bread and gets soggy. Now the bread is the BEST I've had! It's fresh, soft and fluffy on the inside and a good flaky soft crunch on the outside/crust. And you can buy the baguettes by themselves which are freshly baked everyday! So far this will be...
